Dale Edward Edris, 93, of Tucson, Arizona, went home to be with the Lord at 12:35 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025. He was born May 23, 1932, in Huntington County.

On Dec. 13, 1953, Dale married Mary Ann Herrberg, and they shared 72 years of marriage rooted in faith, steadfast commitment, and love. Together, they built a life centered on God, family, and service.

Dale attended and graduated from Rock Creek Township School, after which he proudly served three years in the United States Coast Guard. He later earned his accounting degree from International Business College in Fort Wayne, and went on to own and operate his own certified public accounting practice for nearly 69 years.

A lifelong Christian, Dale lived out his faith through daily life and service to his community. He was a faithful member of Tucson Baptist Church for 66 years and a member of Kiwanis for over 50 years.

Dale enjoyed staying active, crossword puzzles, and playing dominoes, and was an avid Boston Red Sox and University of Arizona sports fan.

He was preceded in death by his daughters, Lorene Edris and Theresa Hoopingarner; his parents, Homer and Alta Edris; and his sister, Beverly Skurner.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Edris; sister, Donna Bradley; son-in-law, Tom Hoopingarner; grandson, Steven Hoopingarner and his wife Becky Fox; and six great-grandchildren: Dalee, Braxton, Ainzlee, Callee, Emlee and Finlee.

Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Dale are welcome to gather for a graveside burial at East Lawn Mortuary at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025,  and a memorial service celebrating his life and faith at Tucson Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Jan. 24, 2026.
