Martha E. Guysinger, 95, of Markle, passed away Tuesday evening Sept. 30, 2025, at the Markle Health and Rehab.
Martha was a 1947 graduate of Orrville high school in Orrville, Ohio, and later attended nursing school. She and her husband Bill operated a Greenhouse in Markle for several years in the 1960’s, where they grew Easter Lilies and Wedding flowers for the community. During the 1980’s, she and her daughter Cheryl ran G&B Upholstery in Uniondale.
Martha was a member of the Markle United Methodist Church and later the Uniondale United Methodist church where she played the organ for several years. She was a member of the PSI IOTA XI sorority and a former member of the Markle Homemaker’s Club. Martha was an avid seamstress, she loved to quilt, scrapbook and do genealogy.
Martha was born on Jan. 20, 1930, in Orrville, a daughter of the late Robert and Martha Ellen (Deetz) Ulli.
She was united in marriage to William “Bill” C. Guysinger on May 17, 1949. Bill preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 2013.
Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl Brown of Markle, Lorie Brown of New Palestine, Indiana, and Deb (Rob) Randol of Markle; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two infant brothers and a sister, Mary Stauffer.
A private family graveside service will take place at a later date in the Star of Hope Cemetery in rural Huntington County.
