Richard Rosenbrock, 85, of Bluffton passed away Monday morning, Sept. 1, 2025, at Northern Indiana VA Medical Center in Marion.
He was born on Aug. 27, 1940, in Riga, Michigan, to John D. and Dessie (Smith) Rosenbrock. Richard graduated from Trilby High School at the age of 16 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy when he turned 18. He honorable served for 20 years and retired from full time active duty in 1978.
In 1978, Richard moved to Bluffton and worked in the research and design department of Franklin Electric for nine years. He then worked as an Independent Electrical Contract Engineer for over 20 years before retiring.
On March 24, 1961, in Brunswick, Georgia, Richard and Shirley A. (Pirkle) were married and have shared the last 64 years of marriage.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Rosenbrock of Bluffton, a daughter, Kathy Rosenbrock of Durham, North Carolina, a son, Rob Rosenbrock of Bluffton, and one grandson, Sam (Zohra) Haller of Raleigh, North Carolina, along with a brother, Charles (Becky) R. Rosenbrock of Ridgeland, Minnesota.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, David Rosenbrock.
Private family graveside services will take place at Riga Township Cemetery in Riga, Michigan.
