Charlotte (Schulze) Bultemeier, 81, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025. She last resided at Story Point West in Fort Wayne. Charlotte was born in Brussels, Illinois, on Feb. 22, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Fred R. and Violet M. (Herrmann) Schulze. 

Charlotte received a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and worked for the Fort Wayne State Hospital as a social worker. She married Aldon Bultemeier on Nov. 17, 2007. Charlotte loved serving in the church, singing in the choir, and visiting family and friends. She had a love for frogs, of which she collected many. None of them were loved more than Freddy Ledford Green. 

Charlotte is survived by her step-sons, Brian (Jennifer), Bruce (Heather), and Bradley (Anna) Bultemeier; grandchildren, Jacob, Jonah, Zachary (Ale), Trent, Ashley, Madelyn and Rebecca Bultemeier; sister, Helen (Schulze) Gentner; niece, Susan (Tim) Kirkland; and great-niece, Anastasia Kirkland. 

She was also preceded in passing by her husband, Aldon Bultemeier; and daughter-in-law, Sarah Bultemeier. 

A visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 2, 2025, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill Street, Ossian, Indiana 46777. The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 3, 2025, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 6514 East 750 North, Ossian, Indiana 46777, with visitation one hour prior. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Brussels, Illinois.
