The City of Bluffton, Town of Ossian and Wells County have announced the hire of a new economic development director to lead initiatives aimed at fostering economic growth and enhancing the quality of life for residents. 

The newly appointed director, Jessica Beste, brings a wealth of experience in business investment, business outreach and community involvement. Jessica Beste, husband Matt, sons Axton, Riker, and Cade, along with their labrador, Rocky, live in Bluffton. 

Beste will be tasked with spearheading efforts to promote Bluffton, Ossian and Wells County as a hub for economic activity. This will include working closely with local businesses, exploring grant opportunities, developing strategies to attract new investment, and advocating for infrastructure enhancements and quality of life improvements that support growth.

“I’m thrilled about this opportunity,” said Beste. “I look forward to collaborating with our team and contributing to our communities’ shared goals. Together we can make a positive impact on Wells County.”
