Knights sweep Wayne, improve to 6-0 on the year
Norwell’s tennis team defeated Wayne in a sweep on the road Friday night.
With the win, the Knights improved to 6-0 on the season.

Knights fall to Spartans in softball
Norwell’s softball team fell to 2-3, falling to Homestead on the road 10-3 Friday night.
The Knights amassed three hits in the game, including extra-base hits by Jordan Markley (double) and Kara Brown (triple). Brown’s went for two RBI and went 2-3.
Kaydance Clark hit a sacrifice fly to score the third run.
Kayla Watkins picked up the loss.
Norwell will be at home against Leo in the first Northeast 8 Conference game of the season starting at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 22.
Cyber Tigers heading back to the state finals
Bluffton’s eSports team is heading back to the state finals.
The Bluffton Cyber Tigers will be competing at Ball State University in the annual state finals on Saturday, April 27.
The team won the semi-state match against Oregon-Davis in the game Super Smash. With the win, the team advances to play Blackford in the state finals. Members of the Super Smash team include Jordan Troyer, Jayden Suman (captain), Noah Zoll, Tristan Ault and Eli McCollum.
The Overwatch team won over Wabash last week, a rematch of last year’s state final, and advanced to the championship to face Union City. Members of that team are Zull, McCollum, Caleb Dailey (captain), Leighton Elkins, Mack Bakerm Chris McClain and Lily Pulfer.
The state championships will be live-streamed on Twitch, while also providing updates on Twitter (now X) @esports_bhmsd before each match with a link.
In Tetrio, Sam Holloway won first against 50 other competitors in the state and will be honored at the awards ceremony on April 27.
“This is truly a historical year for Bluffton eSports,” said coach Jonathan Morgan. “What an accomplishment for these students who have worked so hard all year long.”
Tigers win MS track with the Raiders, Warriors
Bluffton Middle School won both the boys’ and the girls’ track meets, while Southern Wells placed third in the and second in the Thursday night.
The Tigers had a team score of 64 in the boys’ meet, while the girls had a 60. The Raiders scored a 53.5 in the boys, and a 58 in the girls. Woodlan was second at 53.5 in the boys and third in the girls at 27 points.

Knights split in MS soccer with East Noble
Norwell’s boys soccer team won over East Noble 2-1, and the girls fell 1-0 Thursday night.
Cooper Nagel and Augi Arellano were the goal-scorers for the Knights.
Knights place 2nd in MS golf match
Norwell’s golf team finished second in middle school golf Thursday night.
The Knights scored a 255, trailing Crestview (247) and defeating Riverview (298).
Isaiah Geoglein was the top scorer for Norwell with a 47.
