Kimball reaches 100 wins, Knights top Eagles

Norwell head coach Holly Kimball got win No. 100 in her career Tuesday night at Columbia City.

The Knights won 5-0 and swept the junior varsity match as well to improve to 2-0 and 1-0 in the Northeast 8 Conference.

Knights win over Indians in baseball

Norwell breezed its way to a 3-1 record in a 13-1 win over Mississinewa on Tuesday.

The Knights tallied eight hits in the contest, getting multi-hit games from Logan Cotton and Lane Lewis. Cotton doubled and added two RBI, while Lewis had three RBI.

Cade Shelton went 1-3 with a double and three RBI. Collin Burns, Eli Randol and Ryne Thornton also picked up RBI.

Lewis got the win, throwing the full five innings that was shortened due to mercy rules. He allowed three hits on one earned run with five strikeouts and no walks.

Norwell will head to Heritage at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11.

Indians beat Tigers in tennis

Bluffton fell 3-2 to Mississinewa on the road Tuesday night.

The Tigers fall to 0-2 on the season.

Tigers allow seven runs in 6th, falls to Squires

Bluffton fell to 1-3 on the baseball season in a 9-4 loss to Manchester Tuesday night on the road.

The Tigers scored four runs on six hits and held a 4-2 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth when the home Squires rallied for seven runs in the inning.

Brody Lewis was the only Tiger with a multi-hit game, going 2-3. Griffin Morgan launched a two-run blast, while Eli Garrett hit a double and later scored.

Braxton Betancourt ended up with the loss, throwing 5.1 innings, allowing five runs (two earned) striking out six. Colton Arnold came in relief and allowed four unearned runs and walked one.

Bluffton travels to Wabash at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 10.
