Spring Showcase
A Spring Showcase will be presented by the Creative Arts Council on April 26-27 at the Auditorium at 428 S. Oak St. in Bluffton.
The Dance Academy students of ballet, modern and tap will be on stage. The ballet students will be presenting excerpts from “Sleeping Beauty.” The beginning, intermediate and advanced modern dance students will be taking a trip into ancient Egypt while the tap dancers will be performing rhythm and Broadway tap styles.
The Friday performance will begin at 7 p.m. and on Saturday at 3 p.m. Admission is $5 at the door.
Coffee concerts at
Crescendo by ‘ the Phil’
Fort Wayne’s Crescendo Coffee Cafe (by the Clyde) will host monthly Wednesday morning concerts by small groups of musicians from the Wayne Philharmonic over the next few months.
Scheduled dates include: April 2 and May 15. All concerts begin at 10 a.m. with coffee and breakfast items available for purchase. The concerts are free.
FW’s Youtheatre
productions
Fort Wayne’s Youtheatre will present “Ruby Bridges” will run from April 19-21 at the First Presbyterian Theater.
“Go Dog Go” will be presented at the Allen County Public Library Theatre April 25-28.

Events at Fort Wayne’s Swinney Homestead
The Swinney Homestead, 1424 West Jefferson Blvd. will host an Open House on Friday, May 3, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the home and the herb garden open to the public.
Registration for the 2024-2025 Settlers Inc. programs opens with new members welcome.
The Settlers annual Herb and Perennial Plant Sale also will begin on Friday, May 3, at 10 a.m. and continue on Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m. until noon. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Swinney Homestead.

performances
Fort Wayne’s Fire & Light Productions have announced two spring shows to be presented in Fort Wayne.
Finding Nemo Jr. will be on stage at the Arts United Center, 303 E. Main St. on April 11-13. There will be 7 p.m. curtain times on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and a 2 p.m. one on Saturday.
This is a musical adaptation of the 2003 Pixar movie Finding Nemo and features music, laughter and all your favorite characters—Marlin, Nemo, Dory, Crush and more. This show has a G rating.
Fiddler on the Roof will be presented on May 16-18 at the University of Saint Francis Robert Goldstine Performing Arts Center, 431 W. Berry St., FW at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and also at 2 p.m. on Saturday. This musical has a G rating.
