According to the Huntington County Sheriff’s Office, the 37-year-old man wanted for the murder of his grandmother, Bernice “Dianna” Eubank, 72, in Markle has been apprehended.
Anthony Joel Castleman was arrested by U.S. Marshalls in Georgia. The HCSD advised that family has been notified and further details are forthcoming.
According to court documents, a warrant was issued for Castleman’s arrest on Nov. 12 after officers responded to a welfare check for Eubank and found her body hidden next to a barn on the property.
A $1,000 reward was offered on Nov. 21 after Castleman had not been located by law enforcement. Billboards with photos of his face were also placed throughout the state.
