Friday, 6:01 p.m., 3335 SW Church Rd., Bluffton. Report of three stolen French bulldogs. Amanda Sue McNamara, 32, Ossian, had reportedly used a fake name to contact a dog breeder with interest in purchasing dogs. When McNamara met with the breeder’s wife, she allegedly took possession of 3 French bulldogs valued at $6,200, and said she would come back with payment. The breeder later reported the stolen dogs, and a deputy ran McNamara’s phone number to correctly identify her. A deputy eventually made contact with McNamaa, who initially denied speaking with anyone about buying French bulldogs, however, she eventually stated she didn’t make it back in time to pay him. McNamara stated she had had a recent family loss, which had triggered a manic episode that she described as different from her previous episodes. McNamara said she never intended to keep the dogs and agreed to meet with the breeders to return the dogs. Later that evening when McNamara was supposed to return the dogs to the deputy, McNamara said she had dropped the dogs off at a groomer’s because she believed they were not properly cared for at the breeder’s residence. Two of the three dogs had been picked up from the groomer’s by an Ossian man, and the third was taken to a vet facility in Fort Wayne for an ear condition. McNamara was arrested for theft, a Level 6 felony. Her bond was set at $5,000.

Molnar, 30, Yoder, informed a deputy that he had taken his license plate off of his old truck and put it on his new vehicle. A deputy then noticed a burnt marijuana cigarette in the vehicle, and a K9 was deployed. The vehicle smelled of marijuana and loose pieces of marijuana and a clear container of meth were found in the vehicle. At this time, Bluffton Dispatch informed the vehicle’s passenger, Mallory Eileen Lommatzsch, 30, Yoder, had a protective order against Molnar. A deputy then administered field sobriety tests, several of which Molnar failed, and a portable breath test, which returned at zero percent. Molnar then refused to take a Sotoxa saliva test. Lommatzsch admitted she and Molnar had smoked meth two hours prior to the traffic stop. Lommatzsch was arrested for possession of meth, a Level 6 felony. Her bond was set at $5,000.
