The Pennville Soccer Club ended its eighth season over the weekend.
The league capped off the final week with a single-elimination tournament in each of its three divisions by age group.
In the Stinger division, Progressive Del Toro Hornets defeated Ryzone’s Wasps 6-1. Raelyn McClain scored four goals for the Hornets, while Lance Gentis and Benjamin Barrios scored the other two. The Wasps’ lone goal was by William Higgins.
In the Spaces division, Dave’s Heating and Cooling Rockets won over Vinson Rental Properties Galaxy 4-2. Bradley Catterson scored two goals for the winning side, and one goal each came from Paizley Murphy and Dakoda Smith. Raul Martinez scored both goals for the Galaxy.
In the Wild Cat division, both Pennville General Store Lions and New Beginnings Holiness Church Cougars were tied 0-0 going into overtime. Khloe Teegarden scored the winning penalty kick in the shootout to win the game for the Lions. Payson Rickard posted a shutout in net for the Lions.
