Bluffton Board of Works to meet Tuesday afternoon

Bluffton Common Council will meet Tuesday evening

The Bluffton Common Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 2, in the Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, 128 E. Market St. (Note change of time.)

The first item on the agenda is a meeting of the Redevelopment Commission, which will be held prior to the formal start of the council’s regular meeting.

Markle council to hold executive, special sessions

The Markle Town Council will meet in executive session at 8 a.m. Thursday, May 4, with a special meeting held at 8:30 a.m. The meetings will be held at the Town Hall, 197 E. Morse St. in Markle.

During the executive session, which will be closed to the public, the board will discuss a job performance evaluation of individual employees. No agenda was given for the special meeting that follows

Area Plan Commission will meet Thursday evening

The Wells County Area Plan Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 4, in Room 105, the multi-purpose room on the lower level of the Wells Carnegie Government Annex, 223 W. Washington St.

Topics on the agenda include:

• CLAD LLC is requesting a zoning change to R-3 (residential) from R-2. The property is at 1131 S. Morgan St. in Bluffton. The item has been on the agenda for two consecutive months and if no one is present to answer questions about it Thursday night, it can not be continued again. It would have to be refiled.

• iTown Ministries Inc. is requesting approval for the development of a new church complex on the east side of Ind. 1 between Wells County Roads 250N and Jackson Street. The property, in Lancaster Township, is zoned R-1 (residential).

• Apollonia Real Estate is requesting approval for the development of a new dental office. The property is at 1429 Baker Place in Bluffton, in Lancaster Township, and is zoned B-2 (business).

• Katltlcen Kowal is asking for approval of a 9-acre division of a minor subdivision. The property is located at the northwest corner of Meridian Road and Wells County Road 1050N in Union Township and is zoned A-1 (agriculture).
