The Norwell softball team took two against South Adams at home on Saturday.

The Knights, now sitting with a record of 4-2, were on fire offensively, winning the first game 14-9 and the second game 15-4.

In Game 1, Jordan Markley drove in five runs with the help of a double and a home run in the game while also walking twice and scoring four runs. Kaydence Clark added three RBIs on one hit. Reese Frauhiger went one-for-one with a home run and three walks.

Madyson Sonnigsen was the winning pitcher on the mound, going four innings and allowing seven runs (only one was earned), and striking out five. Kayla Watkins threw three innings in relief, allowing two runs and striking out five.

In Game 2, Clark went a perfect four-for-four with a double and a home run while driving in an impressive nine runs.

Emma Bailey also went four-for-four, helping the Knights with their 15 hits. She also scored four runs and drove in one as well. Nevada Lenwell went three-for-three with three runs and an RBI.

Sami Lemler was the winning pitcher, tossing a complete five innings in the shortened game due to mercy rules, allowing four runs (two earned), three hits, and six strikeouts.

Norwell will host Adams Central starting at 5 p.m. Monday, April 17.
