Southern Wells High School’s chapter of Business Professionals of America recently competed at the State Leadership Conference, earning a Quality Chapter Distinction. Individually, Shaylinn Geesaman received a Statesman Torch Award, placed eighth in Management, Marketing, and Human Resource Concepts, and received Level 1 Student Certification; Caleb Johnson received Statesman Torch Award, Top 10 Statesman Torch Award, and Level 1 and Level 2 Student Certifications; Colin Green placed seventh in Legal Office Procedures; and Kailey Reed received Chapter All-Star and Statesman Torch Award; and Dannicka Sorensen placed third in Health Insurance and Medical Billing, qualifying for Nationals in California.
