Saturday, 9:23 a.m., Ind. 1 and Ind. 218, Petroleum. Provided transport to Bluffton Regional Medical Center for a voluntary 72-hour committment. Passenger became agitated and removed their seatbelt. Deputy pulled over after subject attempted to take off her handcuffs. Passenger continued fighting when another deputy responded to help shackle her legs. Wells County EMS responded to verify the passenger was OK. Passenger transported without further incident.
Saturday, 9:52 a.m., Ind. 1 and East 650S. Assisted Freeman’s Towing with a vehicle that had slid off the road.
Saturday, 9:59 a.m, East U.S. 224 and North Ind. 1. Vehicle found on west side of the road with both driver’s side tires off the rims. Area flagged with police tape.

Saturday, 10:47 a.m., Southeast Ind. 116 and East 300N. Vehicle in ditch. Pulled out by a citizen.

Saturday, 11:12 a.m., East Ind. 218 and South Ind. 1. Semi driver reported a maroon Jeep had slid into his trailer on the roadway, breaking a bracket and light. Deputy noted the Jeep would have damage to the driver’s side and would be missing a mirror on that side. The Jeep was not located.
Saturday, 11:32 a.m., South Ind. 3 and West Ind. 218. Vehicle slid off the road and struck the stop sign at the intersection.

Saturday, 6:27 p.m., East 250N and North Main Street. Vehicle located on the side of the road. Driver advised he had run out of gas but someone was on their way to help.
Saturday, 6:30 p.m., North Main Street and East 250 North. Vehicle with dead battery. Deputy stood by to assist with traffic control while they jump started the vehicle.
Saturday, 8:14 p.m., East 200N and North 450E. Stop sign damaged by a vehicle. Deputy propped the sign up so it was visible. County Highway contacted to replace the sign.
Saturday, 9:02 p.m., 5964 N. Miller St. Verbal altercation between a man and a woman. Deputy spoke with both parties and explained the miscommunication.
Saturday, 9:22 p.m., 5964 N. Miller St. Woman reported when she had arrived at this location the back door was open and there was damage to the deadbolt locks and two small windows were broken. Woman stated this was not the first time her door had been kicked in and windows had been broken. Scene photographed.
Sunday, 4:32 p.m., 4384S 300W, Poneto. Caller said a neighbor’s dog had come onto his property and killed one of his cats. Deputy advised the dog owner that the dog needed to be quarantined for 10 days and would have to provide the dog’s vaccination record.
Sunday, 4:33 p.m., Country Corner Deli. Complaint of a juvenile driving a four-wheeler recklessly.
Monday, 5:33 a.m., South 100W and West 100S. Vehicle stopped for driving 73 in a 55 mph zone. The driver, Denys Alexander Flore Montoya, 33, was then arrested for operating a vehicle without every receiving a license, a Class C misdemeanor, and exceeding the maximum speed limit, a Class C infraction. Bond not set.

Friday, 2:52 p.m., Silo Farms. Verbal altercation. Parties separated for the evening.
Saturday, 11:55 a.m., North Ind. 1 and Industrial Parkway, Ossian. Report of a semi-truck losing pieces of its tire on the roadway, which are hitting other vehicles. Deputy located the truck and advised the driver of the flat tire. Driver said he was aware, the vehicle wasn’t loaded and he just had a short distance longer to drive.
Sunday, 5:18 p.m., Silo Farms. Report of dog attacking a woman.
Sunday, 8:49 p.m., 105S Metts St. Report a maroon GMC Envoy driven by Tyler Cross had hit his parked vehicle. Cross found unconscious and administered two doses of Narcan. Cross transported to Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Drugs and paraphernalia found in the vehicle. Vehicle towed by Freeman’s Towing.
Monday, 11:12 a.m., residence on North Jefferson Street. Provided information regarding a restraining order.

Thursday, Murphy Oil lot at 2140 N. Main St. A 2018 Ford Focus, apparently driven by Susan L. White, 42, was stuck on a raised curb. The woman allegedly had a suspended license and an officer reported that there was an open container of alcohol at her feet in the vehicle. Possible charges are pending.
Friday, 10:58 a.m., Walmart parking lot, 2130 N. Main St. A Ford F-150 driven by Keith T. Huey, 73, Geneva, backed out of a parking spot and struck a Jeep Patriot driven by Tyler P. Ungerer, 25, Uniondale. Damage estimate was under $1,000.
Saturday, 7:35 a.m., Ind. 1/Main Street and Monroe Street: A Ford Fusion driven by Manuel D. Jesus, 46, Indianapolis, slid on the ice and struck a Dodge Durango driven by Tammy L. Velasquez, 52, Poneto. Both vehicles were southbound on Main Street. Damage was estimated at between $10,001 and $25,000. Both vehicles were drivable.
Saturday, 10:37 p.m., 1303 S. Main St. A Chevrolet Sonice driven by Paul Meridian, 44, 315 W. Central Ave., was parked at a gas pump when a Chevrolet Suburban driven by Wilbert Grayson, 34, 1028 W. Washington St., backed into it. A passenger in Meriden’s vehicle reported she had some neck pain. Damage was estimated at between $1,001 and $2,500.

Saturday, 12:46 a.m., North 100E, Murray. Alexis K. Benson, 26, Fort Wayne, was driving a 2018 Kia Optima northbound on 100E near 200N when she saw object in the roadway and swerved to avoid it. The vehicle got caught the loose gravel on the side of the roadway and was pulled into the ditch. Benson attempted to turn west back into the roadway and made contact with another ditch, pulling the front bumper loose and causing parts of the vehicle to break off. Benson continued on 100E and began losing vehicle fluid, coming to rest just south of 300N. The insurance company advised Benson could leave the vehicle, and she parked it in the northbound lane of 100E. The vehicle was later towed by Pemberton’s Towing. Damage exceeded $10,000. Benson was issued a citation for driving with a suspended license.
Saturday, 1:22 a.m., 600W, Mount Zion. Sarah A. Landell, 30, Liberty Center, was driving a 2019 Jeep Cherokee northbound on 600W and lost control of the vehicle due to ice. The vehicle left the roadway and entered a ditch, cracking a utility pole. The vehicle was towed by Freeman’s Towing. Damage exceeded $2,500.
Saturday, 6:12 a.m., Ind. 1, rural Bluffton. Jennifer M. Lye, 34, Ossian, was driving a 2017 Buick Encore southbound on Ind. 1 just south of 400N and lost control of the vehicle, sliding into the ditch. The vehicle had damaged to the front bumper and undercarriage and was towed by Pemberton’s Towing. Damage exceeded $5,000.
Saturday, 7:34 a.m., Ind. 1 and East 1000S, Petroleum. Amber J. White, 38, Pennville, was driving a 2013 Ford Expedition northbound on Ind. 1 and lost control of the vehicle due to slick driving conditions. The vehicle spun clockwise into the ditch on the east side of Ind. 1, striking a utility pole, and coming to rest southbound in the ditch. The vehicle was towed by Freeman’s Towing. Damage exceeded $5,000.
Saturday, 9:34 p.m., 1150W at the intersection of 600S, Dillman. Dylan J. Thomas, 23, Hartford City was driving a 2016 Toyota Camry and lost control of vehicle due to driving conditions. The vehicle ran off the road, striking a road sign. The vehicle was towed by Wyatt’s Towing. Damage exceeded $5,000.

Friday, 2:48 p.m. Nottingham Township firefighters responded to a report of a pole down at 6486S-700E. Crews from AEP were called to the scene.
Saturday, 10:28 p.m.Smoke alarm going off in the 1100 block of South Bennett Street Residents evacuated.

Manuel Antonio Alba Jr., 37, Warren; child solicitation, a Level 4 felony. Bond not set.
Michael Shawn Broillet, 35, Bluffton; possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor. Bond not set.
