Monday, 4:50 p.m., Praxis substance abuse treatment facility, 1529 W. Lancaster St. Officers requested for a patient threatening self-harm. Transported to Parkview Behavioral Health in Fort Wayne.

Monday, 4:55 p.m., Wells County Government Annex, 223 W. Washington St. Burglar alarm. Officers responded. Alarm malfunctioned.

Monday, 6:35 p.m., Three Rivers Federal Credit Union, 2030 Commerce Drive. Burglar alarm. Officers responded. Alarm tripped by the cleaning crew.

Tuesday, 5:46 a.m., Main Street at Ind. 124. Officer pulled over a vehicle and arrested the driver

Tuesday, 10:54 a.m., residence in the 500 block of West Central Avenue. Caller reported someone fraudulently attempted to file for unemployment benefits in his name.

Tuesday, 11:55 a.m., Bluffton Regional Medical center, 303 S. Main St. Panic alarm. Officers responded. There was no emergency. It’s unknown what set off the alarm.

Tuesday, 12:49 p.m., Walmart Supercenter, 2100 N. Main St. Belligerent female customer threatening to fight a store manager. Officers responded. Woman left before officers arrived.

Tuesday, 12:54 p.m., Praxis substance abuse treatment facility, 1529 W. Lancaster St. Discharged patient refusing to leave the facility. Officers dispatched.

County:

Monday, 6:21 p.m., Norwell High School, 1100E-U.S. 224. Sixteen-year-old junior varsity football player injured following a head-to-head collision. Wells County EMS and Uniondale Fire Department first responders dispatched.

Ossian:

Saturday, 9:31 p.m., vehicles driving on park property Archbold-Wilson Memorial Park and driving on the hill. Officers responded and spoke with the driver of a vehicle behind the Ossian Elementary School. The driver claimed that he and his friends had been playing “hide-and-seek” with their vehicles. Officer checked the park for damage. The officer located several tire tracks through the park and on the sledding hill but did not see anything that was permanently damaged.

ACCIDENTS

City:

Sunday, 8:10 p.m., Walmart parking lot, 2100 N. Main St. Amanda Ringler, 37, Payne, Ohio, was turning a 2012 Ford F-150 pickup truck into a parking space and clipped a parked 2004 Cadillac Ct, the registered owner of which was not listed on the accident report. Damage exceeded $2,500.

Monday, 4:36 p.m., Main Street at Monroe Street. Chris P. Porter, 58, Lima Ohio, was southbound on Main Street on a 2002 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic motorcycle. He slowed to a stop for a red traffic signal at the intersection. Michael P. Willis, 57, Lima, Ohio, was behind Porter and was unable to stop his 2005 Harley-Davidson Road King Classic motorcycle in time before hitting the back of Porter’s motorcycle causing more than $2,500 damage. A witness to the crash called 911 and it was unknown if anyone was injured so Bluffton Fire Rescue and Wells County EMS were dispatched to the scene. However both were advised to disregard.

Monday, 5:26 p.m., El Camino Real parking lot, 2185 Commerce Dr. Dillon J. Smith, 27, Ossian, backed his 2016 Ford Fusion out of a parking spot as Thomas S. Mossburg, 33, Bluffton, was entering the parking lot in his 2016 Chrysler Town and Country van. The ensuing collision caused more than $1,000 damage.

Tuesday, 9:08 a.m., Lowe’s Home Improvement parking lot, 2105 N. Main St. A trailer towed by a 2007 Dodge Ram pickup truck driven by Roger D. Compton, 68, Bluffton, was hit from behind by a 2010 Ford Flex driven by Kelly B. Foley, 31, Bluffton. Damage was estimated at less than $1,000.

Tuesday, 6:19 a.m., Ind. 1 at 1050N. Two vehicle traffic crash. Ossian Fire Department Rescue and Wells County EMS responded. Both drivers were checked out by medics at the scene but declined transport to the hospital. No further information available.

Tuesday, 7:08 a.m., Ind. 1 south of 1100N. Charity E. Henke, 18, Bluffton, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban south on Ind. 1 when she came to a stop because of traffic backed from an earlier traffic accident. The Suburban was then hit from behind by a 2000 Toyota Celica driven by Hser N. Moo, 25, Fort Wayne. Damage exceeded $5,000. Wells County EMS and Ossian Fire Rescue were both dispatched to the scene however neither driver was injured.

ARRESTS

Drequail Dia Mante Harris, 25, Fort Wayne; operating a motor vehicle while never having been issued a driver’s license, a Class C misdemeanor. Released on is own recognizance.

Justice Sierra Madelene Hicks, 22, Ossian; possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor; operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor. Bond set at $2,000.

Tyrone Glen Stamps, 41, Fort Wayne; driving while suspended with a prior conviction with the same offense, a Class A misdemeanor. Released on his own recognizance.
