On Sunday, Oct. 2, at 2 p.m. the Wells County Historical Society will be presenting a combined My Town and Cemetery Walk 2022 program at the Museum located at 420 West Market  St., in the museum’s annex.

Anne Kunkel Hoffmeier will be giving the history of Prairie View Cemetery. Folks portraying former county residents buried there will include: Marcia Hotopp as Rachel Ashcroft, Jim Sturgeon as the Honorable Michael Blue, Dave Schultz as the Rev. Lewis Johnson and Alan Daughtery as Iven Richey.

Cindy Linderman Hedges will give the history of Tocsin. Portraying former residents will be Robert Kunkel as Samuel Kunkel, Nat Bryan as Arthur P. Kelley, Mickey Trullender Jones as her grandfather James Trullender and Jen Sturgeon as Bonnie Kreigh Gregg. A tocsin town talk will follow at the end of the presentation.

Anyone having a connection to Tocsin or any of the early residents are asked to come and share stories at the conclusion of the program.

The event will be presented rain or shine and those planning to attend may wish to bring their own folding chair as the number of chairs at the site is limited.
