Tuesday, 2:11 p.m., Johnson Street at Elm Street. Report of a man and a woman fighting in a camper as part of the 111th Bluffton Free Street Fair. Situation calmed. Information taken for a report.
Tuesday, 2:38 p.m., Police-Fire Building, 204 E. Market St. Firefighter accidentally punched a hole in the outer wall of the building while backing up the fire department’s grass rig.
Tuesday, 4:39 p.m., Main Street at Market Street. Report of two juveniles spoiling for a fight near the fish and crab game on the midway of the 111th Bluffton Free Street Fair. Officers checked the are but the youth were gone.
Tuesday, 5:11 p.m., residence in the 900 block of West Market Street. Verbal altercation between two brothers. Officers responded. The one brother had left before officers arrived.
Tuesday, 5:33 p.m., residence in the 800 block of South Morgan Street. Someone abandoned a Mountain bike between houses.
Tuesday, 5:42 p.m., Johnson Street at Washington Street. Report of four teenage boys trying to pick a fight with another teenage boy on the midway of the 111th annual Bluffton Free Street Fair. Officers dispatched. Disorderly conduct warning issued.
Tuesday, 5:45 p.m., residence in the 1400 block of McConnell Drive. Report of an unwanted man. Officers responded. Babysitter frightened because man was intoxicated.
Tuesday, 6:34 p.m., residence in the 100 block of West South Street. Caller reported several people attending the 111th Bluffton Free Street Fair had parked in the caller’s yard without his permission.
Tuesday, 7:01 p.m., apartments in the 100 block of West Wabash Street. Report of people attending the 111th Bluffton Free Street Fair parking in the apartment house tenants’ parking spaces.
Tuesday, 7:10 p.m., residence in the 400 block of North Marion Street. Report of people attending the 111th Bluffton Free Street Fair parking in the caller’s yard.
Tuesday, 7:12 p.m., Hardees Restaurant, 211 N. Main St. Report of people attending the 111th Bluffton Free Street Fair double parking in the restaurant’s parking lot.
Tuesday, 7:15 p.m., Epworth United Methodist Church, 1204 W. Cherry St. Report of an intoxicated man that showed up at the church and then took off running toward the midway of the 111th Bluffton Free Street Fair.
Tuesday, 8:34 p.m., Walgreens Pharmacy, 1975 N. Main St. Officer pulled over a vehicle and arrested Lorenzo Perry, 31, Bluffton, on one count of driving while suspended with a prior conviction for the same offense, a Class A misdemeanor. He was released on his own recognizance.
Tuesday, 9:47 p.m., Industrial Ten at the 111th Bluffton Free Street Fair. Report of a an intoxicated man creating a disturbance. Shawn Michael Collis, 29, Bluffton, was charged with possession of stolen property, a Class A misdemeanor and public intoxication, a Class B misdemeanor. Bond was set at $2,000.
Tuesday, 6:08 a.m., Utz Quality Foods, 1955 W. Lancaster St. Burglar alarm. Officers responded. Alarm accidentally tripped by an employee.
Wednesday, 8:43 a.m., Bluffton Fire Department first responders, Wells County EMS and Bluffton police officers were dispatched to the Wells County Courthouse, 102 W. Market St., on a report of an unresponsive deaf man.

Tuesday, 8:32 p.m., stops sign at 1000N and 300W run over.
Wednesday, 4:24 a.m., hog barns on 100W north of 500N. Report of someone in the woods behind the hog barns carrying flashlights. Deputies responded and checked the area but whoever it had been was gone.
Ossian:
Tuesday, 6:51 p.m., reports of multiple stop signs in the Melching and Bunn housing additions vandalized with black spray paint. The vandalism apparently occurred during Ossian Days.
ACCIDENTS
City:
Sunday, 6:44 a.m., 1700 block of North Main Street. Benjamin A. Deverell, 34, Marion, was driving a 1993 Ford F-350 dually pickup truck south on Main Street when the rear passenger side dual tires came off the truck. One of the tires rolled into the landscaping of Midwest America Federal Credit Union, but the other rolled into the Hiday Chrysler Plymouth Jeep show lot and crashed into the side of a new for sale 2022 Jeep Wagoneer putting a big dent into the passenger side of the Jeep. Total damage exceeded $25,000.
Tuesday, 4:40 p.m., Williams Street at Cherry Street. Layla I. Larkey, 16, Bluffton, was turning from Cherry onto Williams and in mid turn she saw a parked 2001 Ford F-150 pickup truck. She intended to hit the brakes to keep from running into it but accidentally hit the gas pedal instead and the 2003 Nissan Altima she was driving crashed into the back left corner of the truck — the registered owner of which was not listed on the accident report — causing more than $2,500 damage.
County:
Tuesday, 1:57 p.m., Meridian Road near 700N. Johnathan Gensel, 26, Fort Wayne, was driving a 2020 Freightliner FedEx delivery truck north on Meridian Road. He told the investigating sheriff’s deputy that there was a lot of dust in front of him. What he didn’t realize is that making that dust was a much slower northbound 2014 John Deere 6150M driven by Glen Anstett, 60, rural Uniondale, and registered to the Wells County Highway Department. Anstett was pulling a maintainer behind the tractor. Damage exceeded $1,000.
ARRESTS
Dennis Davis Rogan, 32, Fort Wayne; leaving the scene of a property damage crash with a prior conviction for the same offense, a Level 6 felony; operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalency of .15 percent or more, a Class A misdemeanor; operating a vehicle with a controlled substance in his body, a Class C misdemeanor; and operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond set at $6,500.
