Bluffton Board of Works to meet Tuesday afternoon

The Bluffton Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, in the meeting room on the first floor of City Hall, 128 E. Market St.

Topics on the agenda include:

• Review of city standards.

• Utility water discussion.

• Updates on 427 W. Lancaster St., 817 S. Williams St., and 314 W. Cherry St.

• City Hall hours.

• Timber Ridge water request.

• Tracking asset purchases.

V. New Business:

• Amending 2022 utility schedule of wages.

• Tony Shively water problem .

• Hampshire Court deposit refund discussion.

• Dayle Mentzer water refund discussion.

Northern Wells school board will meet Tuesday

The board of the Northern Wells Community Schools will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, at Norwell High School, 1100E. U.S. 224.

Prior to the meeting, however, a work session will begin at 4:15 p.m. After gathering at the old maintenance shed, board members will tour the schools’ new construction.

When the board convenes at 5:30 p.m., topics on the agenda will include:

• Personnel matters — One resignation and one hiring recommendation.

• Consideration of four donations.

• Updated media specialist job description.

• Approval of interim special education services contract.

• 2023 budget resolution.

• Permission to advertise the 2023 budget (Form 3).

• 2023-2027 school bus replacement plan.

• 2023 capital projects plan.

• 2023 capital projects in nature.

• 2023 capital acquisition.

After the regular board meeting, a strategic planning work session will begin.
