The Norwell girls’ golf team finished second out of eight teams at the Northeast 8 Conference championship meet Saturday morning at Cross Creek Golf Club. DeKalb ended up winning the event, scoring a 360, three strokes above Norwell at 363.
The rest of the teams finished as follows, Columbia City, Bellmont, Leo, Huntington North, East Noble, and New Haven.
At the top of the scorecard for the Lady Knights was Anna Dodane, who finished fifth in the conference meet with a score of 88. Ellie Gatton placed seventh with a score of 90. Emma Dodane placed ninth at 92. Hayden Double at 11th with a 93. Emilyn Heaston in 13th with a 94.
Norwell has three matches left in the regular season before the sectional. The next event will be at 5:15 p.m. Monday, September 12, at Timber Ridge Golf Course against East Noble.
