Tigers and Raiders also compete in 11-team boys’ race and nine-team girls’ race

Norwell won both the boys’ and girls’ meets as the Knights hosted their own cross-country invitational Saturday morning.
Bluffton was third in the boys race and fifth in the girls’ race, while Southern Wells was fifth in the boys’ race. The Raiders did not have a team in the girls’ race.
Individually, Norwell boys placed two runners in the top 10 and ultimately took the event by placing their entire lineup in the top 30.
Leading the way for the Knights in eighth place was Gavin Threewits at 18:41, followed by ninth-place Zach Waldman at 18:43.8. Other Norwell runners were Bobby Kwandrans, 17th in 19:14:2; Marin Melcher, 18th in 19:26.6; Luke Johnson, 22nd in 19:44.9; Landon Diver, 25th in 20:02.9; Lukas Mashuda, 26th in 20:02.9; Jasper Kreigh, 27th in 20:06.8; and Zathan Westfall, 28th in 20:07.3.
For the Norwell girls, Brooklyn Meyer finished seventh overall in 21:43.2 and Haleigh Reinhard joined her in the top 10 by placing eighth in 21:50.2. Rounding out the field for the Knights were Addison Meyer, 11th in 22:10.6; Makenzee Kahn, 12th in 22:12.1; Ashley Waldman, 13th in 22:12.7, Hattie Lewis, 26th in 23:36.4; Alana Cady, 31st in 24:11.7; Teagan Lesley, 48th 25:50.0; and Emerson Meredith, 49th in 25:59.5.
Bluffton had three runners in the top 10 in the boys’ race — Samuel Baumgartner, sixth in 18:38.9; Jude Baumgartner, seventh in 18:41.0; and Levi Johns, ninth in 18:48.0. Other Bluffton runners were Brett Kuhlenbeck, 23rd in 20:50.7; Griffin Linderwell, 56th in 21:51.1; Ayden Teeple, 57th in 21:56.4; Jackson Rockwell, 58th in 21:57.4; Jonah Cole, 80th in 24:57.9; and Owen Lesh, 83rd in 25:27.2.
For the Bluffton girls, Annika Linderwell was 45th in 25:37.0, Gabrielle VanCamp 50th in 26:00.3, Dakota Lee 55th in 27:01.3, Amarah Robles 64th in 28:21.4, and Alydia Bertsch, 72nd in 29:52.6.
For Southern Wells boys, the team’s top individual was Joshua Bricker who finished 23rd overall in 19:47.2. Other Southern Wells runners were Andrew Aker, 28th in 20:14.05; Jarin Frauhiger, 33rd in 20:15.8; 47th Colter Kiel in 21:07.6, Rio Horner, 51st in 21:20.1; Kane Jenkins, 54th in 21:37.2; Peyton Ellis, 59th in 21:59.5; and Miles Garrett, 74th in 23:28.0.
Norwell and Southern Wells had runners compete in the junior varsity event. For the boys, Norwell finished first of three, and Southern Wells ran with one runner. Norwell runners were Kale Meredith, third in 22:11.1; Sam Peterson, fourth in 22:35.8; Ryan Ewing, fifth in 22:50.7; Coltin Mounsey, seventh in 23:48.9; Kai Anderson, eighth in 24:07.9; and Thomas Garza. 11th in 29:09.3. For Southern Wells, Keith Pluimer finished 12th in 30:53.1.
None of the three schools competed in the girls junior varsity event.
