Southern Wells recognized its very first varsity football team during the halftime of Friday night’s game against Fremont. The Raiders first took to the grid iron 50 years ago. While the entire team was recognized, the players and cheerleaders who made the ceremony introduced by Principal Kim Conner, far left, were Jim Fields, Randy McMillen, Cheryl Mounsey DeWeese, Terry Arnold, Guy Studebaker, Scott Johnson and Martha Miller Thompson.
