Preliminary plea of not guilty entered for Braden Lee Phillips,19, Ossian, charged with possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor. Bond continued at $1,000. Jeffrey Stineburg appointed public defender.
While patrolling northbound on 450E from 300N June 8, a Wells County Deputy Sheriff spotted a vehicle that was weaving within its lane. The deputy pulled the vehicle over near 800N.
While speaking with the driver, the deputy observed in his report to the court that the interior of the vehicle emanated a strong odor of raw marijuana.
Phillips was the front seat passenger in the vehicle. Upon further investigation, Phillips allegedly admitted to the deputy he had marijuana stashed under the seat where he had been sitting.
During a search of the vehicle the deputy allegedly located two plastic sandwich bags containing a green leafy substance with the odor and appearance of marijuana.

Preliminary plea of not guilty entered for Elijah Euell, 29, Shelbyville, charged with possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor.
On March 9 a state trooper was patrolling north on Main Street when he spotted a vehicle ahead of him that had an expired license plate. He pulled it over.
While speaking with the driver, identified as Euell, the trooper reported being able to smell a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The trooper asked Euell where the marijuana was located and Euell allegedly pointed to a sunglasses holder in the vehicle next to the rear view mirror. In the holder, the trooper allegedly found two zip-top sandwich style bags containing a green leafy substance with the odor and appearance of marijuana.

Probation transferred from Allen County to Wells County for Eric Falk, 49, Bluffton.
Falk is on probation until Nov. 16, 2023, after having been found guilty May 19 in Allen Superior Court of strangulation, a Level 6 felony.
Ordered to have no contact with his victim, pay an intrastate transfer fee of $75 and pay probation user’s fees.
