Thursday, 5:47 p.m., Pine Grove apartments. Caller reported neighbor’s small dog bit the caller’s grandson on the face. Information taken for a dog bite report.
Friday, 9:15 a.m., Almco Steel Products, 59 N. Oak St. Ext. Burglar alarm. Officers responded. No sign of foul play found.

Monday, 6:17 p.m., Ellingham Pike at 200S. The intersection is a four-way stop. Kathryn A. Osborn, 61, Bluffton, was driving a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee west on 200S while Colin A. Magdich, 18, rural Poneto, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze south on Ellingham Pike. Magdich reported, and witnesses concurred, he was at the intersection first and therefore had the right of way. Osborn reportedly told the investigating officer she did not notice the Cruze when she entered the intersection. Damage exceeded $5,000.
Thursday, 1:57 p.m., Market Street at Scott Street. Richard T. Bricker, 71, Bluffton, backed a 2011 Ford Edge out of a parking space in front of City Hall, turned too sharp and clipped a parked 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis occupied by Reginald Freeman, 59, Bluffton. Damage exceeded $2,500.
Friday, 8:56 a.m., parking lot of the Wells County Jail, 1615 W. Western Ave. Jacob Ruch, 32, Fort Wayne, backed a Lull telehandler, registered to Macallister Machinery, Fort Wayne, into a parked 2018 Ford Explorer sport utility vehicle registered to the Wells County Sheriff’s Office. Damage exceeded $1,000.
FIRE RUNS
Thursday, 2:24 p.m., house converted into multiple apartments, 127 W. Wabash St. Possible carbon monoxide. Resident showing symptoms. Bluffton Fire Department and Wells County EMS dispatched. Firefighters were not able to detect any carbon monoxide in the residence but they did detect the presence of natural gas in the apartments that grew stronger as they approached the water heater and the furnace in the basement. Gas to the building was turned off, landlord Intent Properties LLC was contacted to make repairs.
