The Wells County Election Board will meet at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, in the clerk’s office in the Wells County Courthouse, 102 W. Market St.

County Drainage Board will meet Tuesday afternoon

The Wells County Drainage Board will meet at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, in Room 105, the multi-purpose room on the lower level of the Wells Carnegie Government Annex, 223 W. Washington St.

• The Stotts open drain in Jackson Township, regarding a drainage easement for utilities.

• The DeLong and Goodspeed print tile drains in Harrison Township, discussion of reroute and reconstruction of tiles.

County Commissioners will meet Tuesday afternoon

The Wells County Commissioners will meet at 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, in Room 105, the multi-purpose room on the lower level of the Wells Carnegie Government Annex, 223 W. Washington St.

• Appointment with Wells County Sheriff Scott Holliday.

• A rezoning request, brought to the commissioners by Wells County Area Plan Commission Executive Director Mike  Lautzenheiser.

• Appointments with Wells County Highway Superintendent Shawn Bonar and Wells County Engineer Nate Rumschlag. The commissioners will also discuss the county engineer’s employment agreement.

Southern Wells school board will meet Tuesday

The board of the Southern Wells Community Schools will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, in the high school media center of the SWCS campus.

• Financial considerations.

• Fundraiser requests and donations.

• Referendum.

• Personnel matters.

• Consideration of policy and procedures, particularly a wellness policy.

• Textbook rental for 2022-23.

Bluffton Common Council will meet Tuesday evening

The Bluffton Common Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, in the Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall, 128 E. Market St.

Topics on the agenda include:

• Tax abatements, presented by  Chad Kline, Wells  County’s economic development director. Also, Kline will present an economic development master plan.

• Enforcement of state building codes, brought to the council by Brad Hartman.

• Wells County flood ordinance, brought to the council by Mike Lautzenheiser, executive director of the Wells County Area Plan Commission.

• An ordinance amending firefighters’ wages, brought to the council by Fire Chief Don Craig.

Zanesville Town Council will meet Tuesday evening

The Zanesville Town Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, at the Zanesville Town Hall, 17736 N. Wayne St.
