I hope by the time you read this the teams will be able to be on the ball diamond. You will, maybe, at least see them practicing.

Our Easter Egg Hunt will be over and I hope we didn’t send a bunch of kids home covered with mud. Lions members and the ladies from the Church of God filled almost 2,000 eggs for the day of searching. More about that next week.

The Honor Classes for this year are 1952 and 1962.

The Zanesville Post Office is looking for a part-time clerk.

After missing out on two years, the Honor Flight Northeast Indiana is scheduled to begin again on April 27 with 80 veterans making the trip to Washington D.C. to view the memorials placed in their honor.

Sorry to report that the Zanesville Lions Park has been hit again with vandalism. It seems this is a weekend thing maybe happening between midnight and 6 p.m. on Sunday mornings. This time they destroyed overhead lights in the pavilion leaving glass all over the cement floor. They also left, this time, two large rocks and a red fire extinguisher that was used to break the covers on the expensive light bulbs.

Thanks to Lion Larry Herron and volunteer Janet Burniston, the glass was cleaned up as we prepared for the Easter Egg Hunt.

If you have any information on this please call me at 638-4327 or call 260-824-3426 and leave a message for our police officer Carl Collins.

Don’t forget to be prepared to vote in the primary on Tuesday, May 3.

Check out all three churches Facebook pages for upcoming and ongoing events.

Mark your calendar for the Zanesvile Lions Annual 5K and Fun Run to be held on Saturday, May 28. Letters will be out soon to previous runners.

Town Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, in the municipal building on Wayne Street.
