Southern Wells’ baseball team lost its first game of the year 12-1 at Oak Hill on Tuesday in five innings.
Oak Hill started hot with six runs in the first inning. The hosts added one more run in the second and scored five more in the fourth to win by the 10-run rule.
The only run the Raiders managed came in the third inning when Owen Vickrey drove in Branson Rheinhart. Evan Reynolds suffered the loss for Southern Wells on the mound, allowing seven runs (two earned) on seven hits while striking out one and walking three in two innings of work.
The Raiders return to action on Saturday at home against Wes-Del.
