Wednesday, 3:34 p.m., Life Community Church, 428 S. Oak St. Bluffton police officer arrested Cory Eugene Brickley, 40, Bluffton, on a warrant for violating probation. No bond set.
Wednesday, 5:10 p.m., Bluffton Wesleyan Chapel, 1309 W. Washington St. Burglar alarm. Officer responded. Work was being done on the alarm.
Wednesday, 9:01 p.m., Washington Park, 710 S. Mulberry Street. Report of seven juveniles fighting. Officers responded. Upon arrival they didn’t see anyone fighting. One juvenile advised there were youth wrestling earlier, but it was nothing serious.
Wednesday, 10:30 p.m., Walmart Supercenter, 2100 N. Main St. Female reported her vehicle ran out of gas. An officer got her some gas and she was able to continue on her way.
Wednesday, 10:36 p.m., Budget Inn, 1090 N. Main St. Two people arrested by an Indiana State Police trooper. Philip Andrew Chalmers, 52, Marion, was charged with possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor. No bond set. Tori Paullene Carter, 22, Marion, was charged with possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor, possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor. Bond set at $3,000.

Wednesday, 4:44 p.m., residence on Ind. 116 northwest of Meridian Road. Report of a verbal altercation between a man and a woman. Deputies responded. Situation calmed, parties separated.
Wednesday, 9:44 p.m., rural Markle resident reported someone had contacted her through Facebook and was trying to scam her. She also reportedly asked the responding deputy if she could borrow $20 from the deputy. He told her no.
Wednesday, 11:03 a.m., residence on Hoosier Highway south of 200S. Deputies responded to a report of a verbal altercation between a husband and wife over a charge card.
ACCIDENTS
City:
Wednesday, Main Street at Dustman Road. Report of a two-vehicle crash with no one injured. Jeffrey S. Priester, 39, Bluffton, was charged with possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor; possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor; operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class C misdemeanor; and operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, a Class A misdemeanor; open alcoholic beverage container during operation of a motor vehicle, a Class C infraction, and failure to yield the right of way, a Class C infraction. Bond set at $3,000.
Reportedly Priester attempted a left turn at the intersection in his vehicle and turned into the path of an oncoming vehicle. The arresting officer observed in his report that Priester smelled of alcohol, failed field sobriety tests and blew a .082 percent alcohol concentration equivalency on a Breathalyzer test. The legal limit for intoxication in Indiana is .08 percent. During an inventory of Priester’s vehicle prior to towing, officers reportedly found a green tin containing a marijuana grinder, a clear plastic bag containing two small balls of a green, leafy plant material with the odor and appearance of marijuana, and Top’s rolling papers,
Thursday, 6:25 a.m., semi bullpen for Peyton’s Northern, 1111 S. Adams St. Joanee M. Ross, 55, Stetonville, Wis., was leaving the bullpen parking lot when the 2019 Freightliner, registered to Rands Trucking Inc., Ladysmith Wisc., clipped a parked 2021 Freightliner registered to DMN Transport Inc., Woodridge, Ill. Barry A. Babb, 49, Laurelton, Neb., was asleep in the cab of the semi at the time it was hit. Damage exceeded $2,500.

Wednesday, 9:07 p.m., Ind. 218 near Ind. 3. Mikel J. Blinn, 64, rural Warren, hit a deer with his 2014 Toyota Tundra. Damage to the pickup truck exceeded $5,000.
FIRES
Thursday, 8:55 a.m., and 11:22 a.m., Kevin and Rebecca Oliver residence, 4090W-900S, Poneto. Fire alarm called in by the alarm agency. Chester Township Fire Department and Liberty Township Fire Department dispatched the first time. Turned out to be a false alarm. The second time just the Chester Township Fire Department responded and Chester Fire Chief Jody Nusbaumer removed the battery from the offending detector with permission from the homeowner. ADT contacted.
ARRESTS
Roger Keith Moore Jr., 56, Bluffton; failure to appear in court April 4 for an initial hearing on charges of operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalency of .15 percent or more, and orating a motor vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, both Class A misdemeanors. No bond set.
