Norwell’s Augie Mann shot a 72 to finish as medalist of the South Adams boys’ golf invitational on Saturday and helped lead his team to a third-place finish out of 12 teams. 

The Knights as a team combined to shoot a 357, which only trailed Northeastern at 338 and Winchester at 352. 

Following Mann on Norwell were Luke Herrell, Derek Smith, and Kaden Graft each at 95, and Davis Miller at 100. 

Bluffton’s Keegan Schwartz finished close behind Mann, shooting a 76 for second place in the invidividual scores. That helped lead the Tigers to fourth place with a team score of 361. 

Following Schwartz on Bluffton were Ephraim Frauhiger at 91, Kade Abbett at 93, Alec Reiff at 101, and Draven Dull at 102. 

Jay County shot a 364 to place fifth, Adams Central shot a 369 to place sixth, Fremont shot a 371 to place seventh, South Adams shot a 385 to place eighth, Bellmont shot a 395 to place ninth, and Monroe Central shot a 421 to place 10th. 

Southern Wells also shot a 421, but placed 11th due to a tiebreaker. The Raiders were led by James Foss, who shot an 83 for the sixth-best individual score. 

Following Foss on Southern Wells were Clay Smith at 109, Bailey Couch at 110, Tristen Worster at 119, and Archer Jones at 127. 

Marion placed 12th out of the 12 teams with a 549. 

All three Wells County schools will be back on the course on Tuesday. 

Norwell will host Huntington North, while Southern Wells will host Bluffton, Woodlan, and Heritage in an ACAC conference quad.
