The Bluffton Lady Tigers dropped their opening game of the season at Eastbrook on Tuesday, losing to the hosts 16-3.
The Tigers trailed early after allowing five runs in the first inning. They bounced back with three runs in the second, but allowed two more in the bottom of the inning.
Eastbrook added four more runs in the third and five more in the fourth. After Bluffton put up zero runs in the fifth, Eastbrook won by the 10-run rule.
As a team, Bluffton had six hits at the plate. Marly Drayer led the way going 2-for-3 with a triple and an RBI. Lily King added a triple as well, and Tressa Ranner, Cayah King, and Kaitlyn Tungate each added a single.
King and Tyrah Shaw each pitched two innings on the mound for Bluffton, combining to allow 15 earned runs on seven hits. They also combined to walk 17 batters and struck out just two.
Bluffton will play its next game on Wednesday at home against Bellmont.
