Lena M. Lambert, 97, of Eaton, Ind., passed away Saturday, March 5, 2022.
She was born July 24, 1924, in New Castle, to Ora Zirkle and Alice Ritchie Zirkle. She retired from Lambert Service Station where she worked with her husband as a bookkeeper. She married Gene Lambert Oct. 26, 1944.
Lena was a loving mother raising four kids with her husband Gene. She was an avid golfer and bowler. She was an aide on the handicap bus for Delcom School Corporation, retiring at 85.
Lena is survived by a sister, Velma Mountcastle; three sons, Steven G. (Lisa) Lambert of Centerville, Ohio, Billy J. (Amy) Lambert of Burlington, Ky., and Anthony R. (Rene) Lambert of Lebanon, Ohio; a daughter, Janet L. Rogers of Poneto; and 16 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Lena was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Spearman, Viola Walters, Lillian Howell, and Mary Joann Jones, and her brothers, Harold W. Zirkle and George Zirkle.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, March 11, at the Garden View Funeral Home, 10501 N. Ind. 3 near Muncie. Services will follow at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. There will be no graveside services.
