Crews work on the east side of Main Street/Ind. 1 as the first step to installing a pedestrian walkway across the highway from Willowbrook Drive. The walkway will connect with the Interurban Trail on the west side of the highway. Brooks Construction of Fort Wayne is the general contractor. The entire project will also include a pedestrian walkway across Main Street at Dustman Road, but work on that part of the project has not been started. Work is expected to be completed by May 1.
