David “AJ” Todd, 71, of Ossian, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022.
He was born Nov. 19, 1950, in Fort Wayne to the late Doyle and Betty (Boyer) Todd.
AJ owned and operated Todd’s Garage, Inc., for eight years. He later worked as a mechanic for Fort Wayne Lutheran Schools in the bus garage for twelve years and then went on to drive for Energy Control for fifteen years.
In his “retirement,” AJ drove for Park Plastics and Ossian Meats.
He also served on the Ossian Volunteer Fire Department for over 26 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, attending Komet hockey games, and supporting Wells County 4-H.
AJ is survived by his wife of 36 years, Ronda (Ellenberger) Todd; children, Emily (Erik) Todd-Shuey, Joshua (Jennifer) Todd, Andy (Shelby) Todd, Jessica (Chris) Meyer, and Kristina Todd; grandchildren, Ian Todd, Asher Todd, and Baby Todd on the way; and brothers, Michael (Karen) Todd and Ronald (Cindy) Todd.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill Street, Ossian, with visitation one hour prior.
Visitation will also be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, at the funeral home.
Burial to follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Ossian.
