Loretta “Frankie” Emshwiller, 69
Loretta “Frankie” Emshwiller, 69, of Bluffton, passed away at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center.
 Frankie was born in Bluffton on Oct. 11, 1940, to Russell Payne and Helen (Brinneman) Miller.  She graduated from Bluffton High School with the class of 1958. She went on to study at the Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing where she graduated in 1961 as a Registered Nurse.  
Frankie worked at the Caylor – Nickel Clinic for 31 years in the departments of Obstetrics, Surgery and Staff Development. For the last 10 years she has worked for Aging & In-Home Services. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, The American Red Cross and AORN Association and a past president of Tri Kappa Sorority. She also served as a Girl Scout Leader and on the board of the Panos Free Clinic along with the Bluffton Park Board.
 On Sept. 3, 1961, she married Joe Emshwiller in Bluffton, and they shared the last 50 years together.  She is survived by their children, Brenda (Don) Stafford of West Chester, Ohio, John J. (Donna) Emshwiller of Bluffton and Patricia (Isaac K.G.) Fokuo of Nairobi, Kenya; along with 8 grandchildren, Matthew, Douglas, Clayton and Coleman Stafford, Rachel and Lucas Emshwiller and Jayden and Simon Fokuo. Frankie is also survived by a sister, Neenah Grove of Springfield, Ohio, and a brother, Randall B. Miller of Bluffton.
Friends are invited to visit with Frankie’s family from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at the Thoma/Rich, Chaney and Lemler Funeral Home. A Tri Kappa Memorial Service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at the conclusion of calling hours. Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church, with calling one hour prior to the service at the church. The Rev. Cindy Osgood and Ted Ellis will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Bluffton.  
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Family Hospice and Palliative Care or to the First United Methodist Church.

Patty J. Lacoax, 81
Patty J. Lacoax, 81, of Fort Wayne, died at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at the Markle Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born on May 26, 1929, in Monticello, Ill. to Ezra Byron and Loreen (Tarr) Lewis. She was united in marriage to Rev. H. Leon Lacoax on Dec. 17, 1950, in Louisville, Ill.; he preceded her in death in August, 1991.
A 1947 graduate of North Clay Community High School in Clay County, Ill., she worked in the accounting department at the Indiana Bank in Fort Wayne for 15 years. She was a member of the Waynedale United Methodist Church.
Surviving relatives include one daughter, Marquita (David) Merchant of Markle; one brother, Wayne Lewis of Indianapolis; one sister, Mary Peters of Arthur, Ill.; four grandchildren, Benjamin (Amber) Merchant, Sarah (Paul) Ziegler, Randy (Konny) Merchant and Chad Hamilton all of Fort Wayne, and three great-grandchildren, Avery, Atticus and Atlas.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Sandra (Robert) Hamilton and Beverly Lacoax; a grandson,  Ryan Hamilton; and a brother Paul Lewis.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, and from noon Friday, Sept. 3, at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home with the Rev. Mike Harris officiating. Burial will be at the Highland Park Cemetery in Fort Wayne.

Shirley J. Miller Reeves, 68
Shirley J. Miller Reeves, 68, of Marion and formerly of Bluffton, died at 8:42 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at Marion General Hospital.
Mrs. Reeves was born in Piper City, Ill. on Jan. 8. 1942, to Charles Wayne and A. Margaret (Johnson) Williams. She married Jesse Reeves in Illinois in December 2002; he preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 2010. 
A 1960 graduate of Chester  Center High School, Mrs. Reeves worked at Franklin Electric for 20 years. She was active in quilting, sewing, painting and gardening. She enjoyed reading and interacting with her facebook. She was a 4-H leader for years, and a member of Unity Christian Church.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Mike (Margaret) Miller of Markle and Mark Miller of Reifsburg; two daughters, Laura (Russell) Iidea of Bluffton and Diana (Ben) Stetzel of Roanoke; three step children, Jenny (Jim) Justus of Simpsonville S.C., Abby (Mark) Mortier of Fishers and Mike (Rita) Reeves of Greenwood; two sisters, Doris (Tino) Martinez of Lynnwood, Calif. and Mary Kizer of Bluffton; one brother, Richard (Kay) Williams of Fort Wayne; 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She is also survived by her first husband, Kerry Miller of Bluffton.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, and from 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Aupperle officiating.

Daniel Vern Stevenson, 58

Daniel Vern Stevenson, age 58, of San Tan Valley, Ariz.; passed away Aug. 25, 2010.
Dan was born on June 1, 1952, in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., the son of James W. and Donna (Eveleigh) Stevenson. Dan enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time out of doors.
Dan is survived by one son, Daniel V. Stevenson II of Bluffton; two grandsons, Jacob and Parker Stevenson of Decatur; his parents, James and Donna Stevenson of Pickford, Mich.; two brothers, James W. (Kayren) Stevenson of San Tan Valley, Ariz. and Martin B. Stevenson of St. Ignace, Mich.; and two sisters, Sheila K. (James) Bergdoll of Pickford, Mich. and M. Jill (Michael) Roddy of Voorhees, N.J.

Venita N. Messinger, 91
The sister of  a Bluffton resident, Venita N. Messinger, 91, passed away Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010, at her New England Club home of  14 years in Anderson Township, Hamilton County, Ohio.
She began her life in Garrett on July 8, 1919. She graduated from Manchester College in 1939 and took additional course work at Missouri State Teachers College and Purdue University. She started her teaching career in a one room school in Decatur, and also taught in Bluffton and Frankfort, Oakland, Calif., Kirksville Mo., and Ottumwa, Iowa, before finishing 17 years at school #84 in Indianapolis. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and a life member of the National Education Association. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Surviving relatives include five sisters, Luana Stanley of Fort Wayne, Jean Holmes of Fort Wayne, Jennie Kralicek of Bryan, Ohio, Lorene Oswalt of Bluffton and Ines Gillespie of Wabash; one brother, Max Brewer of Taveres, Fla.; one daughter, Danielle Messinger Zicka of Cincinnati; one son, Robert E. Messinger of Cincinnati; three grandchildren, Jason Messinger, Jaime Messinger and Jenna Zicka; and an adoring grandpup, Gordy.
She was preceded in death  by her mother, Jennie E. Brewer; her father, Forace Mahlon Brewer; five sisters and two brothers.
With much gratitude she was cared for by Shirley Roberts  and Betty Malott over the past year of her life.

A memorial celebration of her life will be held at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 4, at the New England Club.

Arnold Welbaum, 85
Arnold Welbaum, 85, was reunited with the love of his life in heaven at 8:55 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, after 11 years of separation.
He was born Dec. 6, 1924, the eldest son of Russell and Marie Welbaum. On April 19, 1946, he married Anna May Sorrell who preceded him in death on Jan. 7, 1999.
Surviving are his children, Cassandra (Gary) Ferris of Fort Wayne, Melody (R. Edward) Smith of Chillicothe, Ohio, Ben Welbaum of Yoder and Chris (Stephanie) Welbaum of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Kevin (Amy) Bower of Somerville, S.C., Mitchell and Jacob Welbaum of Yoder; one great granddaughter Grace Bower, siblings, Eldon Welbaum and Wilma Nierman both of Florida; step grandchildren, Josh (Crystal) Seibert, Kevin Seibert, Scott Ferris, and Michael (Crystal) Ferris; step great-grandchildren, Alanna, Gabrielle and Carson; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and brother, Larry Lee Welbaum, who died as an infant, and Louella Mannix a younger sister.
Arnold enlisted in the U.S. Navy/Coast Guard in May 1942 and served on the USS Bayfield. As a PA-33 Medic treating a Marine on the beach at Iwo Jima, he saw the original American flag rise on Mount Suribachi. He wore the campaign ribbons of the Asiatic-Pacific with one Bronze Star and participated in the invasion of Okinawa with a Good Conduct Metal. He was honorable discharged on January 8, 1946.
Arnold graduated from Lafayette Center High School on April 17, 1942. He was a graduate of Cornell University, Central Bible Collage, Indiana Purdue Extension, and a Minister of the Assembly of God Church.
Arnold worked for Martin Construction, Gardner’s Commissary, and Scott Foam (Foamex) where he supervised chemical handling. He enjoyed serving on the board and teaching the Senior High Sunday School class at Nine Mile United Methodist Church.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Southwest Assembly of God Church, 7702 Smith Road, Fort Wayne at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4, with 1 hour of calling prior to services. Calling will also be on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne. Burial will follow in Hoverstock Cemetery, Zanesville.

John H. Ketring, 71
John H. Ketring, 71, of rural Hartford City, died Sunday,
Aug. 29, 2010, at Blackford Community Hospital.
Mr. Ketring was born on Feb. 4, 1939, to Glen and
Eloise (Long) Ketring. He married Phyllis Harter in
Montpelier on May 28, 1960; she survives.
Other surviving relatives include four daughters, Risa
(Fred) Foreman of Hartford City, Cheryl (James) Griffith
of Colcord, Okla., Kristi (Bill) Michael of Hartford City
and Traci Ketring of Muncie; one son, John (Sherri)
Ketring Jr. of Siloam Springs, Ariz.; three brothers, Steve
Ketring of Upland, Mike Ketring of Marion and Bruce
Ketring of Upland; two sisters, Betty Jo McKenny and
Melinda Mullinex, both of Marion; 10 grandchildren
and 18 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Ketring was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

Joseph Eugene Campbell, 55
Joseph Eugene “Joe” Campbell, 55, of Poneto, died at 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, from complications of cancer.
Mr. Campbell was a 1972 graduate of Southern Wells High School and earned a bachelor of science degree in management from DeVry University. He was a T&P specialist with Verizon for 30 years, retiring June 25, 2010.
He had resided in Liberty Center from 1954 to 1978; in Russell, Ky., from 1978 to 1999; and in Poneto since 1999.
He was a veteran of the Air National Guard and was a member of the First Christian Church in Russell, Ky.
He was born Sept. 26, 1954, in Bluffton, to Dwight Campbell and Ada Lambert Campbell. His mother survives in Liberty Center.
Survivors include a companion, Cindy Horrom of Poneto; three children, Nathan Campbell of Poneto, Tiffany Campbell of Jacksonville, Ill., and Ashlee Seaborne of Hartford City; two grandchildren, Shea Seaborne and Markis Seaborne, both of Hartford City; and three sisters, Tammy Kistler of Columbia City, Peggy Craig of Bluffton, and Kay Southard of Liberty Center.
He was preceded in death by his father. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Cynthia Yencer, in 1986.
Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Thoma/Rich, Chaney and Lemler Funeral Home, 308 W. Washington St., Bluffton, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Mr. Campbell will be cremated after the service.

Henrietta Earhart, 85
Henrietta Earhart, 85, of Decatur, passed away at 9:35 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at the Woodcrest Retirement Community in Decatur.
Mrs. Earhart was a former resident of Jackson Township in Wells County. She worked at the Bluffton Clinic for seven years. She also worked eight years at Van Buren Appliances, and worked for two years at McDonald’s in Warren. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.
She was born June 24, 1925, in Wells County, to James William Harris and Viola Luella Sutton Harris. She married Orva W. Earhart Dec. 4, 1943; her husband passed away Aug. 5, 2002.
Survivors include a son, William E. (Ebbie) Earhart of Gas City; three daughters, Nancy L. Whited of Decatur, Carolyn S. (John) Patch of Geneva, Cindy K. (Joe) Compton of Warren; and 14 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Janet Collier; a son, Daniel E. Earhart; seven brothers, William Harris, Carl Harris, Emery Harris, Kenneth Harris, Arthur Harris, Earnie Harrie, and Charles Loren Harris; and four sisters, Nellie Murray, Della McFarren, Edith Penrod, and Marietta Harris.
Calling will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, at the Glancy-H. Brown and Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at the McFarren Cemetery in Bluffton.

Charles I. Dungan, 92
Charles I. Dungan, 92. a resident of Heritage Pointe in Warren, died there at 4:27 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010.
Mr. Dungan was a longtime resident of Majenica before moving to Heritage Pointe. He retired in 1980 from the main branch of the State Bank of Markle, where he had worked for 26 years. He had also been employed as a paper hanger and as a painter.
He was a 20-year member of the Weekday Religious Education program in Huntington County. He was a former member of the Markle Men’s Barbershop Chorus. He also belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Markle and the Huntington County Horseshoe Club.
He was a member of the Plum Tree United Church of Christ and served in many offices there. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving from June 20, 1942, to Dec. 8, 1945, attaining the rank of staff sergeant in the Transportation Corps.
Mr. Dungan was born Oct. 9, 1917, in Huntington, to Dellas M. Dungan and Ola Frey Dungan. He was married twice. His first wife, Velma June Sale Dungan, preceded him in death. He married Mary E. Thompson June 18, 1967, at the Boehmer Church in Liberty Center; she survives.
Also surviving are a son, Harold (Jean) Dungan of Greenfield; a grandson, Greg (Susan) Dungan of Hamilton, Ohio; a granddaughter, Julie Dungan of Indianapolis; a great-grandson, Isaac Dungan of Hamilton, Ohio; two sisters, Ruby E. Kreisher of Markle and Betty J. Harris of Warren; and a brother, Wayne (Laura) Dungan of Portage, Wis.
In addition to his parents and his first wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold L. Dungan, and four sisters, Mary E. Randol, Alberta Sutton, Alice Allred, and Annabelle Highlen.
Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, at the Glancy-H. Brown and Son Funeral Home in Warren. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Glancy-H. Brown and Son Funeral Home in Warren with Pastor Jeane Spoor officiating. Burial will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery near Huntington.
Preferred memorials, in lieu of flowers, are to the Huntington County Weekday Religious Education program.

Linda M. Ramseyer Sinks, 52
Linda M. Ramseyer Sinks, 52, of  Raleigh, N.C. and formerly of Keystone, passed away Friday, Aug. 27, 2010 in Wake County Hospice Home in Raleigh.
She was born in Bluffton on Aug. 12, 1958, to Jimmie Ramseyer and Thelma Studabaker and was raised in Keystone. She graduated with the class of 1976 from Southern Wells.
For the past 19 years she resided in Raleigh, N.C. and has been employed as a case analyst for many years.
Surviving relatives include her mother of Bluffton; her husband, Gerry Sinks of Raleigh, N.C.; one daughter, Jessica, of Raleigh, N.C.; one son, Jason Sinks of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sisters, Kristina (Paul) Patton of Avilla and Sheila (Paul) Floton of Bluffton; and one brother, James Studabaker of Bluffton.
Mrs. Sinks was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Ramseyer.
A celebration of her life will be scheduled at a later date.

Michael Wayne Timmons, 52
Michael Wayne Timmons, 52, of Van Buren, the stepfather of two Bluffton residents, died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at his residence.
Mr. Timmons was born Nov. 26, 1957, in Marion, to Wayne Timmons and Jane Cook. His mother survives in Van Buren. He married Grace Humphrey Oct. 16, 1996, in Marion; his wife survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Josh Wayne Timmons of Florida, Clifford Michael Timmons of Ringgold, Ga., and Justin Lee Timmons of Marion; two daughters, Miranda Kay Timmons of Marion and Melissa Buck of Arizona; two stepsons, Nathan Rowe and Carlos Rowe, both of Bluffton; a stepdaughter, Brenda Rowe of Goshen; seven grandchildren and four step-grandchildren; two brothers, Randy TImmons of Van Buren and Rick Timmons of Marion; and two sisters, Sheila (Mike) Shrameck of LaFontaine and Sherry (Jack) Rodgers of Peru.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mitchell Timmons.

Ronald G. Hatch, 81
Ronald G. Hatch, 81, of Bluffton, died at 9:50 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, at Bluffton Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Hatch was born in Redkey on March 22, 1929, to Orville and Waneta (Wolfe) Hatch. He married Eileen Onweller in Bluffton on July 26, 1958; she survives.
A 1947 graduate of Dunkirk  High School, Mr. Hatch served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War in 1951 and 1952. He started his career at Franklin Electric, and then retired as a design engineer at Gencorp in Wabash and Kitco in Bluffton. He attended the United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time outdoors, including fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed genealogy.
Other surviving relatives include one son, David (fiance Lena) Hatch of Albion, along with her two daughters, Katie and Theresa; a daughter, Cheryl Biberstein of Churubusco; and a grandson, Josh Biberstein.
Mr. Hatch was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Hatch and Myles Hatch.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 30, and from 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, at the Goodwin Memorial Chapel in Bluffton. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Bradley officiating. Burial will be at the Stahl Cemetery. American Legion Post 111 of Bluffton will assist with graveside rites.

Joyce Ann Sonner, 78
Joyce Ann Bell Sonner, 78 of Summerfield, Fla., died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, in Florida.
Mrs. Sonner was born June 19, 1932, in Bluffton, to Dwight Bell and Wilda Paxson Bell.  She married Ron Sonner June 3, 1951,in Waynedale; her husband survives.
Survivors include three sons; Bruce (Susan) Sonner of Ossian, Gary (Mary) Sonner of Knoxville, Tenn., and Steve (Norma) Sonner of Gatlinburg, Tenn., and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Bell, and a grandson.
The All Faiths Cremation Society, The Villages, Fla., was in charge of arrangements.

Charles E. Peek, 81
Charles E. Peek, 81, of Bluffton, passed away at 3:05 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, at the Bluffton Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Peek was born Sept. 7, 1928, in Millersburg, Ohio, to Penn C. Peek and Florence King Peek.  He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Line Peek of Bluffton; a son, Charles “Mike” (Debbie Allred) Peek of Fort Wayne; two granddaughters, Jennifer (Matt) Pfeifer of Illinois and Lori (Tim) Meienburg of Ohio; and five great-grandchildren, Clay, Conner, and Raegan Pfeifer and Brody and Lucas Meienburg.  
He moved to Bluffton in 1933, graduated from Poplar Grove School in 1943, and Bluffton High School in 1946.  He played football, basketball, and softball.  While in high school he worked at the Wells County Game Farm, now named Ouabache State Park.  After graduating, he worked at Heller Stone Quarry, Ira Smuts Construction of Zanesville, and later drove a Standard Oil tank truck in the Markle area.
He married Carolyn Sue Line at the Markle Methodist Church on July 1, 1950.  He went to work for Majenica Telephone Co. in 1960. He was transferred to Delphi, Ind., in 1971, where he worked until he retired in 1989 from Alltel Indiana Inc.
Mr. Peek enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf, where he was lucky enough to have made five holes-in-one and one eagle.
While working for the telephone company he did a great of volunteer work, mostly for the Indiana Telephone Association. He served as president of District 3 and worked three years on ITA’s convention committee where he served as president, vice president, and secretary for seven years.
During this time he was named Honorary Secretary of State in 1986 by Edwin J. Simcox for his devoted service.
He was a member of Bluffton Masonic Lodge 145 for 54 years and the Scottish Rite of Fort Wayne.  He resided in North Fort Myers, Fla., for 13 years. While there, he belonged to the Shrine Temple where he was a volunteer, transporting crippled children to the Shriner’s Hospital in Tampa for a period of five years. He was a life member of the Elks and Moose lodges. He was a volunteer at Bluffton Regional Medical Center for a short time after returning to Bluffton. He also attended the First Church of Christ in Bluffton.  
Calling hours are 3: to 7: p.m. on Saturday at the Thoma/Rich, Chaney & Lemler Funeral Home. Masonic services will be conducted by Bluffton Masonic Lodge 145 at 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Sprinkle officiating.  Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Markle Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are to the First Church of Christ or Family Hospice and Palliative Care.

Robert E. Schuller, 81
Robert E. Schuller, 81, of Warren, died at 8:01 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Schuller was born in Wells County on July 1, 1929, to Fred and Clarice A. (Norton) Schuller. He married Linda Kellogg in Jonesboro on Dec. 16, 1989; she survives.
Mr. Shuller was a Wells County farmer and a lifetime resident of Jackson Township. He worked at 3-M Corporation in Hartford City for over 30 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of the Montpelier Lions Club, Montpelier Masonic Lodge 600 F.&A.M. and the Scottish Rite of Fort Wayne. He was also a member of the Marion Square Dance Club. He formerly attended Asbury United Methodist Church and Purdue University.
Other surviving relatives include three daughters, Deborah K. Thiery of Muncie, LuAnn Pemberton of Montpelier and Lisa L. Bauer of Bluffton; one son, Bruce A. (Rachel) Schuller of Warren; five step-children, Lynn A. Poe of Upland, Frank Sample of Gas City, Denise Sample of Jonesboro, Eugene Boyer of Montpelier and Linda Hidy of Hartford City; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28 and from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 29, at the Walker and Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier. The Montpelier Masonic Lodge will conduct Masonic Rites at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home with Pastor Rich Hadley officiating. Burial is at Brookside Memorial Park in Montpelier.

Clara Lorene Farlow Weaver, 92
Clara Lorene Farlow Weaver, 92, a resident of River Terrace Estates in Bluffton, died there at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010.
She was born June 12, 1918, in Deridder, La., to Arthur Farlow and Cynthia Thomas Farlow. She married Merrill Weaver Dec. 14, 1936, in Fort Wayne; her husband died Aug. 18, 1996.
Survivors include four daughters, Carol (Clarence) Greaf of Knoxville, Tenn., Betty (Josef) Geisler of Fort Wayne, and Susan (Alan) Bauman and Elaine Muselman, both of Berne; two sons, Larry (Connie) Weaver of Decatur and David Weaver of Leo; and eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Weaver; two brothers, Dale Farlow and Wayne Farlow; and a sister, Lillian Evans.
Calling will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Downing and Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Backesto Cemetery in Berne.
