Three winners at Baer Field races
FORT WAYNE — Todd Bennett, Jared Neal and Thomas Latham Jr. won feature events Saturday night at Baer Field Speedway.
Bennett led all 25 laps of the modified race. Jonathan Martin finished second, followed by Ron Stine, Jerry Brown, Joe Wormcastle, Jeremy Wallen, Mike Bufink, Chuck Mynett, Travis Stepp  and Brian Lolmaugh.
Neal captured the 20-lap street stock race.  Neal went on to win over Scott Wible, Bob Weisenauer, Brian Gruss, Larry Vandall, Jeff Anderson, Joe Kuhnberger, Alex Vonderau, Jan Long, and Steven Russell.
Latham defeated Mark Mason in the mini stock 20-lap race Cameron Lindlag was third, followed by Mike Mayes, Tim Howard, Zac Sipe, David Fugate, Brad McBride, Chris Thompson, and Josh Schepp.
Racing returns to Baer Field on Saturday with the Firecracker 50 for CRA late model sportsman vs. Baer Field late models, plus modifieds, street stocks and mini stocks. Time trials are at 5:30 p.m., with racing at 7:30 p.m.

Zanesville 5, Metaldyne 2
Piercen Harnish, Cal Clouser and Trevor Eichler all had hits and Jaron Stoppenhagen drove in a run on a sacrifice fly in a four-run first inning Friday at Uniondale. The quick lead powered Zanesville to a 5-2 win over Metaldyne in Wells County Junior League U12 baseball tournament play. Colin Loker drove in an insurance run in the fifth. Reggie Hayes and Clouser pitched three innings apiece. Metaldyne was led by Nathan Allison’s two hits.
