Bluffton’s Middle School basketball teams went 1-3 Monday night as all four of them took on Summit City High School.

The eighth-grade girls’ team was the only winner and won by a score of 37-24. Leading scorers were Sophie Eisenhut with seven points, followed by Allie Koby (6), Madelyn Funk (6), Piper Morgan (5), Isla Gibson (4), Addison Kauffman (3), Kenley Falk (2), Ella Borror (2), and Addison Yates (2).

The eighth-grade boys’ lost 44-36, with Max White leading the way with 11 points, Jonah Geisel (10), Jared Moser (8), Axton Beste (5), and Heath Johnson (2).

The Tigers’ seventh-grade boys’ team lost in overtime 36-33. The leading scorer was Gavin Grieser with 15 points, followed by Reid Abbett (7), Gibson Grieser (4), and Cooper Jenkins (2).

The seventh-grade girls’ team dropped its first of the season (9-1) 42-12. Leading the way was Knloe Dick with nine points, followed by Bridget Steffen (2), Kamryn Ault (2), and Jaida Mills (1).
