Thursday, 3:28 p.m., Ind. 124 and Wells County Road 500W. Caller reported semi with possible broken trailer. Officer located the semi and escorted it to Kroger. Driver had roadside assistance come and help.
Thursday, 6:52 p.m., 100E north of Lancaster Street. Report of trash bag in the road. Officer removed the traffic hazard.
Friday, 2:25 a.m., 100E and 100N. Driver cited for driving 75 mph in a 55 mph zone.
Friday, 2:35 a.m., 300W and Ind. 116. Stopped vehicle for speed. Driver was taking her husband to Lutheran for cancer-related pain. Ambulance offered, but driver wanted to take him the rest of the way.
Friday, 7:43 a.m., 500S between 200E and 300E. Report of live raccoon stuck between shepherd hooks and bird feeder. Animal was freed unscathed.
City:
Thursday, 2:18 p.m., 300 block of Autumn Court. Baggie found with a substance in it; finder called police to have an officer examine it. EMS called because of a 5-year-old’s potential exposure to the substance.
Thursday, 2:40 p.m., 300 block of West Silver Street. Caller reported a package was in the street. Package had an Summit Avenue address on it and officer delivered the package to that residence.
Thursday, 3:06 p.m., 1303 S. Main St. Clerk at convenience store reported a theft and the store has video of the act. Investigation ongoing.
Thursday, 3:32 p.m., 300 block of Arrowhead Trail. 911 call received; source was apparently a child playing with a phone.
Thursday, 4:44 p.m., 300 block of North Main Street. Individual believed to be making threats at a business. Matter apparently involved a pay dispute.
Thursday. 6:35 p.m., 123 Harvest Road. Caller reported an accident from earlier in the day as car was struck while owner was at work.
Thursday, 6:52 p.m., 100E and Lancaster Road. Bag of trash reported in roadway; officer removed it.
Thursday, 6:54 p.m., 3200 block of East Ind. 124. Assault reported from Wednesday. Couple was to come to police station for an interview.
Thursday, 7:15 p.m., 600 block of South Dougherty Street:. Caller reported a car was behind the residence. Vehicle was disabled and owner said it would be removed Friday.
Thursday, 8:25 p.m., 700 block of West Dustman Road. Officer requested to stand by while papers were delivered by Allen County Department of Child Services to an individual.
Thursday, 9:44 p.m. Officers called to the 700 block of West Cherry Street in regard to a juvenile problem. Juveniles were reported to be “ding-dong-ditching” and looking through windows of a residence. Officer spoke to the juveniles and told them to stop.
Thursday, 9:55 p.m., 1200 block of Lancaster Street. Fireworks reported in the area; activity ceased before officers could pinpoint the location.
Thursday, 9:57 p.m., 1300 block of Lancaster Street. Residents said they would cease shooting off fireworks.
Thursday, 10:11 p.m., Wells County courthouse. Juvenile reported to be skateboarding at courthouse; officer said no skateboarder was in the area upon arrival.
Friday, 12:58 a.m., 300 block of Capri Court. Harassment complaint received from caller; individual was reported to be standing outside shouting obscenities and leaving notes under door. Officer spoke to both individuals.
Friday, 3:30 a.m., 1400 block of West Central Avenue. 911 call received, followed immediately by hangup. Call was accidental in nature.
Friday, 8:32 a.m. Parking problem reported at Kroger, 1555 S. Harrison Plaza. Vehicle was behind store, blocking access to mailboxes.
Friday, 10:13 a.m. Welfare check requested at Dollar Tree, 937 N. Main St., as a woman had been parked there since 8 a.m.
Friday, 10:56 a.m., 243 E. Dustman Road. Man injured after falling off of scissor lift.
Friday, 11:08 a.m., 1211 Lancaster St. Evaluation requested for individual.
Friday, 11:11 a.m., Dairy Queen, 960 N. Main St. Phone harassment reported; part of an ongoing issue between relatives.
Friday, 11:20 a.m., 900 block of West Market Street. Caller accused neighbors of putting cameras in a place where they were pointing at a juvenile’s bedroom.
Friday, 11:51 a.m., Lowe’s Home Improvement, 2105 N. Main St. 911 call received, reported to be accidental in nature.
Friday, 12:08 p.m., 20/20 Custom Molded Plastics, 785 S. Decker Drive. Theft reported from employee lockers. Investigation ongoing.

Thursday, 4:17 p.m. First responder call to 2914 W. Market St. in Liberty Center. Female fall off back porch and hit her head.
Friday, 12:12 a.m. First responder call to 3540E-1000N near Ossian. Man believed to have suffered a heart attack.
Friday, 3:43 a.m. Fire alarm in the 1700 block of Brook Court. Smoke detector activated; believed to be the result of a faulty alarm.
