“Power of the Purse” is back this year with a luncheon scheduled for June 15.
The designer purse fundraiser for United Way of Wells County will be held at Timber Ridge with purse viewings and raffle ticket sales beginning at 11 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon with the raffle drawings for purse packages to follow.
Tickets are $30 each for a catered lunch or $225 for a table of 8. Raffle tickets are $5 each or 6 for $25. The “Power Purse” package is valued at a minimum of $2,500 and those tickets are $10 each.
Checks should be sent or brought to the United Way office at 122 Lamar St Suite 118 in Bluffton by June 1.
Participants do not need to be present to win. Those unable to attend the lunch but wishing to participate can view the purses in the United Way office from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 6 and 7.
Those interested should call ahead to United Way Executive Director Ben Renkenberger at 824-5589 so they know how many to expect on those days.
Tickets purchased in advance and on the day of the luncheon will be combined into the same drawings.
All proceeds will go to benefit early childhood education programming in Wells County, including Imagination Library and Kindergarten Countdown.
