Evelyn Marckres, 97 of Bluffton, passed away on Sunday afternoon, November 13, 2022, at Park Place Senior Living Center in Fort Wayne.
She was born on October 28, 1925, in Bluffton, Indiana to Earl & Mary (Aker) Kean. A graduate of P.A. Allen High School, Evelyn worked as an administrative assistant at Mix Mill and K. B. Skiles Company in Bluffton.
Survivors include her children: Steven (Beverly) Miner of Fort Wayne, Julie (Greg) Maxwell of Leesburg and Dave Marckres of Fort Collins, Colo., along with a stepdaughter, Susan Stout-Palukaitis of Mars Hills, N.C. She was a loving grandma to 5 grandchildren: Laura (Jim) Antil of Fort Wayne, Bart (Becca) Miner of Bluffton, Lisa (Kevin Sheets) Smith of McCordsville, Ryan (Rusty) Frauhiger of Brownsburg and Farah (Matt) Swaim of Evanston, IL., along with 12 great-grandchildren.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husbands: Andrew Miner, Edward Marckres and Robert “Bob” Stout, her parents and two sisters; Waneta Koons and Jean Speheger.
Funeral services will take place at noon on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton with Pastor Jon Moody officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Bluffton.
Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton, prior to the funeral service.
