INCIDENTS
City:
Thursday, 3:47 p.m., residence in the 600 block of South Dougherty Street. Officers requested to remove an unwanted woman from the residence. Woman left before officers arrived.
Thursday, 4 p.m., Premier Flats apartments. Report of a loud verbal altercation between a man and a woman. The woman reportedly struck the male multiple times. Officers responded. Victoria Kathern Brown, 21, a Premier Flats resident, was charged with domestic battery committed in the presence of a child, a Level 6 felony. Bond set at $25,000.
Thursday, 7:13 p.m., Washington Park, 710 S. Mulberry Street. Caller reported two children were claiming they had been shot at. Officer responded and checked the security footage from the surveillance cameras where the alleged shooting was supposed to have taken place and did not see anyone shooting a gun.
Thursday, 8:19 p.m., and 11:21 p.m., residence in the 600 block of West Cherry Street. Caller reported hearing noises outside of his residence. Officer checked both times but saw no one either time.
Thursday, 11:56 p.m., East Dustman Road at the Wabash Central Railroad crossing. Caller reported a box in the road creating a traffic hazard. Officer responded and removed the cardboard box from the edge of the road.
Friday, 10:24 a.m., Wells County Public Library, 200 W. Washington St. Elevator alarm. Officer responded and noted that there had been a child in the elevator prior to the alarm sounding. No problems were found with the elevator.
Friday, 11:43 a.m., Rivergreenway Trail near Riverview Drive. Report of a man sitting on one of the benches with his head tilted all the way back. Officers responded and spoke with the man who said he was just sleeping.
Friday, 1:41 p.m., Bluffton High School, 1 Tiger Trail. Students reported theft of Air Pods.

Friday, 7:39 a.m., 100E south of 100N. Sheriff’s deputy was behind a vehicle driving erratically and finally came to a stop. The deputy spoke with both occupants who advised they had been arguing. Zachary Tyler Cassidy West, 22, Bluffton, was arrested for driving while suspended with a prior conviction for the same offense, a Class A misdemeanor. He was released from custody on his own recognizance.

Thursday, 6:23 p.m., Main Street south of Jackson Street. Hannah R. Endorf, 28, Decatur, hit a deer with her 2017 GMC Terrain. Damage to the sport utility vehicle exceeded $2,500.
County:
Thursday, 7:40 p.m., 700E near 800S. Tammy Fisher, 56, Portland, hit a deer with her 2020 Honda Civic. Damage to the car exceeded $5,000.
Friday, 3:59 a.m., 300S east of Ind. 1. Billy Hill, 51, rural Bluffton, hit a deer with his 2022 Toyota Corolla. Damage to the car exceeded $5,000.
