This was the crew painting the railings along the Rivergreenway from Rotary Park to the White Bridge.

After a brief gathering at the First United Methodist Church Sunday, members of that congregation and First Presbyterian Church, plus members of the Knights of Columbus, scattered around Bluffton for their annual “A Day of Caring and Sharing.”

Pastor Sherrie Drake presented a message about “Busy Hands Are Happy Hands” and day organizer Dr. George Babcock explained where work projects would be undertaken.

Outside activities at Family Centered Services including putting a rock “mulch” around the outdoor plantings.

Project sites included landscape clean-up at the Wells Community Boys and Girls Club, painting of guard rails along the Rivergreenway from Rotary Park to the White Bridge, baking of cookies for use as dog treats for the Wells County Humane Shelter, and sorting of clothes at Family Centered Services as well as a landscaping project there.

Another outside activity was the cleanup of the landscaping outside the Wells County Boys & Girls Club.

This was the fifth year for the community service day.
