INCIDENTS
City:
Tuesday, 2:30 p.m., Walgreen’s pharmacy, 1975 N. Main St. Caller reported while he was waiting in line at the drive-through pharmacy he saw a male passenger in the vehicle ahead of him strike the female driver in the back of the head. The caller supplied the license plate number but the number supplied was for a license plate to a vehicle that did not match the caller’s description of the vehicle the couple was in. The vehicle left southbound on Main Street and could not be located.
Tuesday, 5:36 p.m., Bond Street at Silver Street. Officer spoke with several juveniles on bicycles for failing to stop at a stop sign and for littering.
Tuesday, 6:29 p.m., Sun-N-Suds, 2190 Commerce Dr. Report of two men and a woman chasing a ferret around inside the laundromat. Officer spoke with the owner of the business who advised that only service animals are permitted inside the business and the man who owned the ferret advised it was not a service animal. He was told not to bring the ferret back to Sun-N-Suds or he would be warned for criminal trespassing.
Tuesday, 6:30 p.m., 300 block of East Arnold Street. Report of juveniles repeatedly shouting and using vulgar language. Officer responded and advised the youth to keep it down and stop cursing.
Tuesday, 8:51 p.m., residence in the 800 block of Sharon Drive Bluffton Woods mobile home park. Bicycle stolen.
Tuesday, 10:49 p.m., Peyton’s Northern Distribution Center, 1111 S. Adams St. Caller reported a semi attempted to run over a guard at the center. The caller reported the semi headed east on Western Avenue. Officers checked the area but the semi was gone. Information taken for a report.
Wednesday, 12:25 a.m., residence in the 1000 block of West Market Street. Bat in the house. Officer responded but could not find the bat. The bat re-emerged from hiding at 8:31 a.m. and this time was successfully captured and released into the wild.
Wednesday, 7:24 a.m., residence in the 200 block of North Williams Street. Officers arrested Ashley Nicole Gatto, 25, Bluffton, on one count of possession of a narcotic drug, a Level 6 felony, and Ryan Joshua King, 45, Bluffton, on one count of possession of methamphetamine, also a Level 6 felony. Bond for each was set at $5,000.
Wednesday, 1:09 p.m., Walmart Supercenter, 2100 N. Main St. Vehicle parts in the road. Officer responded and removed the parts. He also noted that it appeared that an unreported traffic accident occurred and that’s what the parts were from that were in the road.
ARRESTS
Melissa Marie Buzzard, 20, rural Portland; criminal mischief, a Class B misdemeanor. Bond set at $2,000.
Jaquan Aramis Bass, 35, Fort Wayne; probation violation. No bond set.
Rosanna Alane Wright, 36, Bluffton; theft, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond set at $1,500.
Susan Denise Sutton, 46, Bluffton; possession of marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor; possession of methamphetamine, a Level 6 felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia with a prior conviction for the same offense, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond set at $8,000.
