Brian Dale Foster, 55, of Fort Wayne, died unexpectedly Dec. 4, 2021.

Brian was born Jan. 21, 1966, in Yorktown, Ind., and spent his early grade school and high school years in Ossian. Due to his dad’s career, he also lived in Richmond and Noblesville, Ind., and Snohomish, Wash., before returning to Fort Wayne where he spent the remainder of his life.

Brian was a graduate of Purdue University and was employed at the local PBS station and at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.

Brian was very close to his brother Brad, who preceded him in death exactly 10 years prior. He was also very proud of his nephews, Aaron, 21, and Sage, 19, who are currently students as Michigan State University.

Brian had a wide scope of interests and things he enjoyed doing — garage and antique sales, camping, computers, collecting Lego blocks, Volkswagen autos, and his constant dog companion, Scooby, and especially being with his family. Brian was a member of the Fort Wayne Volkswagen club and rebuilt numerous VWs he owned.

Brian was a kind hearted and generous person with his time and talents to all who asked for his help — including family and friends.

Brian is preceded in death by his brother, Brad, and is survived by his parents, Pam and Mike Foster of Norton Shores, Mich.; nephews, Aaron and Sage Foster; and a sister-in-law, Sherrie Foster of North Muskegon, Mich.

A time of sharing and visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at the Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 W. Mill St. in Ossian.
