Dianna Kay Moeck, 70, of Markle, passed away Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, at the Markle Health and Rehabilitation. Dianna graduated from Huntington High School in 1968.
Along with her husband, Wesley, she raised two daughters in Markle, where she enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, making things with her hands, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Dianna was a firm believer in God, a devoted daughter to her parents, a faithful wife to her husband, a fun-loving friend to her co-workers, and a caring mother to her girls.
Dianna was born Jan. 24, 1950, in Huntington, to Dale R. Hoffman and Marietta Bowman Hoffman. On July 14, 1972, Dianna married Wesley Carl Moeck, Jr., in Huntington. To this union, two daughters were born: Tisha (Nathan) Herman of Reliance, S.D., and Trudy (Steve) Hartzler of Markle.
Dianna went to work for Peyton’s Northern Distribution Center in Bluffton in the early part of the 1980s, remaining there until her retirement three decades later.
Dianna is survived by her two daughters, as well as nine grandchildren: Rebecca Herman, Michaela Herman, Johanna Herman, Jonathan Herman, Benjamin Herman, Aletheia Herman, and Austin Yazzie of Reliance, S.D., and Coby and Carson Hartzler of Markle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Marietta Hoffman, and her husband of 47 years, Wesley Carl Moeck Jr.
Dianna’s earthly body was laid to rest beside that of her husband in the Markle Cemetery on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021. Out of consideration for all, the family has decided to hold a memorial service at a future date when it is hoped that family and friends will be able to gather together to properly remember Dianna and her faith in God.
