Interview with Nick Sprankles, Senior at Bluffton High School.
How old are you?
What is the funniest thing that happened to you recently?
Probably sledding with friends. We tied a door to the back of a truck and went sledding.
Oh my gosh! And everybody stayed safe right?
Yeah, We were safe about it.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you choose to go and why?
Probably Colorado. Because I’ve heard It’s beautiful. You can see snow in the mountains in the morning and then walk down and be fishing in the evening.
You have found a suitcase containing $1 million. The authorities say it’s yours to keep. What do you do with it?
If you can’t find the owner to it then keep it and buy a car with it.
What kind of car? Do you have a favorite?
Tell me something about a parent or relative that you find awesome and you hope to accomplish someday?
My dad has been to every sport I have competed in through all 4 years of high school. I appreciated that.
That’s great. So you want to be that kind of person for you family too?
Yeah. I always want to be there for them.
What are you proudest of?
Just people looking at me for leadership. I’ve been captain of the football team this year and I’ve been captain of the wrestling team the last two years.
That is something to be proud of!
What do you wish that you knew how to do that you can’t right now?
Do you own a pet? What are their names?
I own a black Lab. Her name is Midnight.
And I assume you named her midnight because of her coloring.
What is your favorite class in school and why?
Weight, because I love the weight room and pushing myself to see where I can get.
Are you involved in school sports, music or other activities? Any outside of school activities?
Wrestling. Football. Track. And I work part-time on the weekends.
Do you think it’s important to speak and understand other languages? Is there a language you want to learn?
It depends whether you are traveling or not and what location your in. Like if you are in Southern California and there are a lot of Spanish speaking people you should know Spanish.
Is there a certain language that you would like to learn?
Is that part of your Heritage?
What is your favorite game to play and why?
Probably Madden with my friends.
Who is one of your friends that make you laugh all the time?Levi. When he looks up his name online the first thing that comes up is to buy boots. He always has a smile on his face and is always trying to make people laugh.
Who is your most academically inclined friend?
Zach. He is able to understand a lot of things naturally.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years and how will you get there?
I’m not sure, but the plan is to attend Purdue Fort Wayne for an environmental engineering degree.
