Ayanna Fiechter

How old are you?
18.

Do you like your name?
Sometimes. Sometimes it’s hard because people don’t know how to spell it and they spell it wrong or they say it wrong. Most the time I like my name.

If you had to change your name what would it be?
Maybe Megan. I like the name Megan.

What is the funniest thing that happened to you recently?
Driving to school and having a turkey fall on my car.  Today!

How did that happen?!
It was just in a tree and I drove past and it just dropped on my car.

Did it scare you?
Yeah. I about drove off the road.

I’m so glad you didn’t!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you choose to go and why?
I would say probably Australia and there is a place called Papua New Guinea. We sent some of our missionaries there and it just sounds neat because they don’t know the language and I think it would be nice to teach that.

Sounds Great!

You’ve been given an elephant. You cannot give it away or sell it. What would you do with it?
I would turn it into a pet. I like all animals so that would be really fun to have. My parents probably wouldn’t approve.

Tell me something about a parent or relative that you find awesome and you hope to accomplish someday?
My dad. I have 11 sisters and I think it’s neat that he raised all 11 girls and that says a lot about him. No sons.

Wow! He had to be a strong man to put up with all our femaleness. Haha

What are you proudest of?
Being an artist. The school art show. I placed first placed for a drawing of Jack Frost. I did a black and white drawing and his eyes in blue.

That sounds really neat!

You are a new addition to a crayon box. What color would you be and why?
Blue. I’ve just always liked all the shades of blue.

Is there one particular shade that you really like?
I like navy blue.

Do you own a pet?
Yes, we own a Golden Retriever and a Siberian Husky.

What are their names?
Aspen is the Golden Retriever. She’s a girl. Our boy is Juno, the Husky.

Do you remember how they got their names?
No. Well for Juno we wanted an Alaskan name. Juno is the capitol of Alaska.

Can you tell me a joke?
I’m not very good at jokes. I cannot think of one.

What is your favorite class in school and why?
I would say art. I love drawing. It’s a talent I have.

Are you involved in school sports, music or other activities? Any outside of school
activities
?
No. Just focusing on studies this year.

A penguin walks through that door right now wearing a baseball cap. What does he say and why is he here?
‘Could I come home with you? Because I’m cute?’

Love it.

Who is one of your friends that make you laugh all the time?
Hannah.

Who is your most academically inclined friend?
April.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years and how will you get there?
Hopefully married and have a few kids. Probably not as many as I have in my family. I am thinking of going into therapy for autistic children.

Good for you!

It was a pleasure to meet with you. You have a great future ahead.
