Norma “Jean” Aspy, 92, Bryant and with family in Bluffton, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2018, at Albany Healthcare in Albany.

She was born May 24, 1926, to Richard L. and Jessie N. Fields in Wells County. She married Frederick Wayne Aspy Nov. 24, 1946 in Adams County.

Survivors include her sons, Jack (Susie) Aspy of Fremont, Neb., Larry Aspy of Jay County, and Allen Aspy of Cable, Ohio; daughters, Connie (Tom) Grover of Bluffton, Rita (Ron) Journay of Decatur, and Cynthia “Cindy” (Dick) Garringer of Ridgeville; brothers, Robert Fields of St. Louis Park, Minn., and David Fields of Gaston; 14 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fredrick Wayne Aspy; parents, Richard Leroy Fields and Jessie Nema Runyon Fields; a brother, Richard Fields; and a grandson, Ron Aspy.

Calling hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, Geneva. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery outside of Geneva.
