Joseph H. Moser, 85, passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, when the angels took him to be with the Lord that he loved, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.

Born in Bluffton, Joseph worked with Rogers Markets for 40 years, retiring in 1995.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 111, Bluffton, and served honorably in the U.S. Navy. Joseph was a kind and loving man who was devoted to his family and enjoyed nature.

Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Carol J. Moser of Fort Wayne; son, Daniel H. Moser of Fort Wayne; daughters, Rebecca D. Moser of Fort Wayne, Amy L. (David) Cook of Gaston, S.C., and Stephanie R. Sterner of Columbia City; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Janet Keith of Fort Wayne, Loretta Tanis of Lombard, Ill., and Mary Lou (Edward) Hutter of Fort Wayne.

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Walter V. and Pricilla Moser; and brothers, Walter “Pinchy” V. Moser Jr., Donald J. Moser, and Ronald K. Moser.

Service is at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 11, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue. Calling is at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, Tuesday, Sept. 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Auburn.
