Nannie B. Quinones, 76, of Bluffton, passed away Sunday evening, Aug. 26, 2018, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 14, 1941, in Hazard, Ky., to Bazle C. Shepherd Sr. and Hettie M. Monday Shepherd. Nannie married Antonio G. Quinones in Bluffton on Oct. 25, 1958. Antonio preceded her in death on June 21, 2005.
Nannie worked at Franklin Electric for 32 years retiring in 2003. She also worked for Bi County Services and for Angel Corps. She attended Murray Missionary Church.
Nannie loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. She loved to read and go shopping. Nannie was also well known for her sense of humor.
Survivors include two sons, Anthony “Tony” (Stacey) Quinones of Bluffton and Danny Quinones of Butler; two daughters, Darlene (Jeff) Bergdoll of Bluffton and Brittany (Sean) Gehring of Bluffton; a brother, Felix (Jackie) Shepherd of Florida; a sister-in-law, Anna Shepherd of Bluffton; and eight grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Wilson G. Shepherd, Bazle Jr. Shepherd and Harold Shepherd; a sister, Betty Ann Shepherd; and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2018, at the Goodwin – Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel in Bluffton, with Pastor Mike Gilbert officiating. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the service. Visitation will also be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at the funeral home.
Burial at will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Bluffton.
