Graveside services for Helen Adams, 82, of Pickton, Texas, were held at 11 a.m.(CDT) Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at the Pine Forest Cemetery in Pickton, Texas, with Robert Brown officiating. There was no formal visitation.
Mrs. Adams passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017, at the Christus Mother Frances Hospital in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Helen Idona Clanin Adams was born Nov. 17, 1934, in Bluffton, to Russell Clanin and Mary Brown Clanin. She married Franklin D. Adams July 24, 1953, in Bluffton; her husband preceded her in death in 2014.
Helen was a Christian and a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Peggy (Charles) Brown of Winnsboro, Texas, and Penny (John) Steele of Pickton, Texas; three sons, Jeff Adams and James Adams, both of Pickton, Texas, and Brian (Tandie) Adams of Bonham, Texas; six grandchildren, Josh Brown, Holly (James) Aaron, Sarah Johnson, Dakota Johnson, Brandt Steele, and Bryce Steele; four great-grandchildren, Rylee Aaron, Bodie Aaron, Nettie Aaron, and Jedi Knight; a brother, Gene Clanin; and three sisters, Joyce Clanin, Lonnie Hacha and Janet Pinkerton.
In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by two brothers, Charlie Clanin and Bill Clanin, and five sisters, Nancy Bailey, Mildred Grimm, Delores Cutler, Virgie Kilgore and Mary Wolfe.
Arrangements are under the direction of Murray-Orwosky Funeral Home in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
